Invoice Customisation
Invoice Customisation

I can't find what I'm looking for in the forum, so pardon me if this is a repeat question.

Regarding invoices I would like to be able to list line items at cost without incorporating GST, HST, VAT. So if the item is 59.99 it shows 59.99, not 62.99. I like the tax line item already incorporated, but I know some of my clients see the invoice and have initially questioned me. Maybe this is changed in v3. Also it would be nice to be able to visually track tax collected. Tax liability gives me this broken down into individual invoices, but to see the sum tax collected would make my month-end easier.

Additionally I would like to be able to quote units/quantity, and unit price/rate, for example I charge $50 an hour, if a project takes me 10 hours. I want my client to know what they are paying for. I know I can enter these details into the line item, but it seems almost pointless since I could do this before I switched to Blesta.

So why not make it easier for us to customise our invoices the way we want them. Have a separate invoice creation/customisation module.

Either way I'm looking forward V3, can't wait to see what's unveiled.

Unit/Quantity is in v3. You'll be able to enter the hours and the hourly rate and it will calculate the line item total and display it appropriately on the invoice.. all coming in v3.

We have done things a little differently with invoice design in v3. I think you want to select a tax type of "Sales" vs "VAT". It's a little confusing, but selecting "Sales" should not include the tax in the line item. Since you can name the tax whatever you like, you can call it a VAT if you want to. All this should be less confusing in v3, but you can display line items without tax included now.
