Get Prices in a particular currency

Hi,
Is there anyway of getting the price in a particular currency? I can get the price via getPackage but seemingly on in the default currenct and FormatCurrency doesn't seem to take a currency code anywhere (which seem odd?).
There are several references in the docs to the 'current blesta currency' but I want this to be displayed before a customer has registered.
This is for a sales sheet which I want to display in a user selected currency and get the price direct from blesta so only one place to update.

Some digging indicates getpackage responds to a 'currency' input field but getpackages doesn't.

Worse case I could call getpackages and the loop through each package with getpackage with the currency set but this sounds very slow

Has to be a better way?

That's probably the way to do it. I suspect the API was not updated for that method after multi-currency was added.
