Hello,
I'm starting up my new hosting business and I'm trying to use Blesta. While the setup was easy, and I'm still having issues with the language modules (I'm trying to translate it into Spanish) I chose to begin in English. In order to test my own setup I tried to register a domain for myself (eating my own dog food) and, alas, it failed. Not entirely, so let me describe what I was doing. In my hosting website, lidercorphosting.com (and lidercorp.mx, its sister domain) you can choose from 4 different packages. In any package I chose I can go through steps one (chosing a domain name) and two (chosing a password) and then, on step 3, funny things happen. At first, I got a "404 - Unknown order form." However, the cart got one item, and if I click on it I can complete the order. I noticed then that I didn't had setup a domain package; just a hosting package. So I added the domain package, linked it to the form, and tried again to purchase my new domain. This time what I got was a blank page. Nothing. Zero. Nada. Empty. Absolutely nothing. This is weird, and I've been trying for a couple days to get a solution, but, alas, for no avail. I've tried searching the forums, but either the threads say something I've already tried, or they don't have the answer I need. I'm using cpanel and opensrs modules, and paypal as my non-nerchant gateway Do you guys have any idea? Thanks in advance. Guillermo Ruiz. |

Hi Guillermo
You were right to add a domain package to the order form if you are using the hosting and domain order template. You should edit the order form and double check that you have at least 2 packages in the left side of the multi-select box under "Package Options: Packages" and that the domain package is selected under "Domain Registration Package". Also, verify that some TLDs are selected. Under Payment Options, check that at least one currency, and at least one gateway are selected. If you are using PayPal, it should be checked under Gateways. If that doesn't help, feel free to email me directly -- sales @ our domain. I would be happy to login to your installation and take a look at how you have the order form configured. Thanks |

I deleted all my packages and tried to set them up again, to see if I have a problem there. gateways, check. Merchant, check. Currency, check. Package options: check. Domain package: selected. TDLs: check. Everything seems to be up and running, and I still get the blank page.
I'm also getting a new key from OpenSRS, but if I can't go further I'll drop you a line later. See you, Guillermo. |

Just for fun, make sure you are not logged into the admin interface while placing a test order.

Not only I'm not logged in: I'm in a different computer. I'm sending you a few screenshots and the appropriate data to Sales in a few minutes.

I'm back.
After a troubleshooting session with Cody and Paul I finally fixed this in my server. Yet I have to say I still don't know what, in the name of Alfred E. Newman, happened. I reinstalled the SourceGuardian version, and everything stayed the way it was supposed to stay: broken. I backed up my installation, deleted everything and installed the IonCube version. It remained broken. Just for the fun of it I restored my SourceGuardian installation, verified that it remained broken, and copied the IonCube files on top of it. And suddenly Blesta fixed itself. I don't know if I missed a file when I copied Blesta from my machine to my server. I don't know if there was a small file missing in one version that fixed the other, or if I have a small problem in my setup of SourceGuardian that somehow IonCube fixed, or if it was pure sheer luck. The important thing is that Blesta is now working. And that's what counts in the end. I believe the problem lies in my PHP. I must have a misconfigured file somewhere. I'll try to fix it when I have a little free time. Cheerio. Guillermo. Last edited by VforVancouver; 02-07-2012 at 01:13 AM. |
