I have been playing with the Blesta order forms today and I have the following query.
I am looking at using four basic hosting packages and then adding additions to these basic packages as an order progresses. The first stage might be select web hosting package one, two, three or four. Then the second stage might select addon database package one, two, three or four. Then the last stage might be software configuration assistance / e-mail setup / domain setup required etc. If I try and use the general order form for all the possible combinations packages I will end up with over 30 packages displayed on the starting page of the order process. Therefore, is there any way of starting the order process with four basic packages and adding/combining these basic packages with optional addons as the order progresses? I’m guessing I will be directed towards looking at api based ordering but I am no php expert so I thought I would ask if this might be possible first. |

A custom order form is what you would need in v2.x, either a fully API based order form, or a custom order template, sort of a modified clone of the general order form.
In v3, this gets a bit easier.. and if I understand correct, will work pretty similar out of the box to what you're asking for. v3 introduces addon packages, which gives the proper relationship between your hosting plans (standard packages) and extras (addon packages). |
