Hi guys, Thank you for a great product, and your great support. I have experienced a problem this morning from the administrator dashboard in Blesta. I have manually provisioned a new webhosting package for an existing client who has other services with me. The provisioning is complete using the Virtualmin module (which i have been using for the other 3 services with this client. When i complete the shopping cart procedure, i get the following error: Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. Strangely enough, when i log into the Virtualmin server, the new service (virtualmin>virtual server) appears to be setup correctly? However, the service is not showing up as having been provisioned in Blesta? 1. Any ideas on what may be causing this? 2. How do i now reflect in Blesta, that this service is actually installed and active on my virtualmin server? (so a bill/invoice is created, and blesta controls the billing cycle to ensure payments are made when due in the future) UPDATE I have tried deleting the virtualmin virtual server and reprovisioning this package, however the same error pops up again (even though once again the service is active in virtualmin)

oh i hadnt thought of that...i just assumed that because blesta is working on my two other servers using the same network firewall rules (set at my Vultr.com dashboard), it would also use those same ingress and egress rules to connect with the CWP instance? hmmm thats strange...I installed this yesterday(as you can see in image number 2...shows CWP at the top of installed list), however, the CWP module does not have any entries in my Blesta>Tools>logs???

Hi guys, I am not having a lot of success with setting up the Blesta Module for Centos Web Panel. i have setup and configured modules for virtualmin and cyberpanel without too much trouble and they are both working, however CWP is not so easy. I have gone into CWP and created an API key (also assigning some options using the checkboxes) I have then gone into blesta and installed the CWP module I am not really sure what to do from this point? (i have tried creating a package in Blesta that matches one on CWP and an order form, however, i get error 503 Service unavailable). I am able to select the CWP server, however, it doesnt show a dropdown list of available packages on the CWP server as i would have expected? Is there a step by step outline for this? kind regards Adam

ah...that is the question. Two facets of answer...often the saints write off such issues to the detriment of business growth. So: 1. as a non user... I 'was' complaining 2. as a now paid user ... suggestion for future improvements for others who will likely travel the same pathway ?

Hi guys, My website is setup as follows main website is https://mydomain.com.au Blesta is https://billing.mydomain.com.au I know how to establish my own custom logo in Blesta...ie edit the client template and change logo URL. However, i want the logo in https://billing.mydomain.com.au (when clicked on by a user) to take the browser back to my parent website https://mydomain.com.au How do i achieve this?

Firstly, I am now a current paid up Blesta user. So my response here is constructive criticism as a user, not as someone rubbishing a system they do not use. It comes from the perspective of my user experience leading up to this point. I am a pretty average person who makes average mistakes...so I am sure i am not the only one who has gone through this issue. I am not sure how many of the respondents here have any marketing experience (perhaps none), however usually one tries their level best to woo potential new clients. That is how business grows. The mere fact that Blesta even offers free trials suggests that they are keen to woo customers and grow their business. So with the above FACTS in mind, my point is...if a person takes on a trial (PROVIDED WITH THE AIM TO WOO THEM INTO PURCHASING BLESTA) then surely the system should be setup to REMEMBER THE TRIAL ACCOUNT DETAILS AND MAKE THE TRANSITION A PAINLESS, SEEMLESS, AND CONVENIENT ONE!!!! indeed it should go the extra mile to try to convince potential clients currently on the trial to make purchase! I almost went straight back to using WHMCS. The only reason i did not was because Paul responded to my email within a very short period of time and I value that kind of service. We all know that downtime and inconvenience are not acceptable in this day and age and must strive to ensure it is avoided. I got no warning/reminder of the trial expiry and did not think it was due to expire when it did. That is a fundamental flaw in the implementation of trial as it stands currently. I quote the following from email after i made my purchase...this is a great email, however, its of little comfort "after the horse has already bolted"! If you were using a trial license, you should now update your license key. To do so, go to [Settings] > [System] > [General] > License Key, and enter your new key. When entering your key, be sure to copy the entire thing when prompted, including the "monthly-" at the beginning of the key. You may install Blesta at a location of your choosing, where it will become "locked". If you ever need to move or re-install Blesta, login to the client area, click the "Manage" link next to your license, then "Manage License" and check and save the "re-issue" option.

I have purchased a new license. I like Blesta...its way better than WHMCS in terms of look and user friendliness. Now i just need to get the old trial linked with new license once its been approved and i should be good to go. Very confusing process though...i think that trials should be logged as accounts so that trial users can be notified that they need to upgrade their license. I dont even yet know if my trial had expired (not that this matters as i was intending to purchase blesta anyway) At the end of the day, what i really like about what has happened today...fast ticket responses. That is brilliant.

it seems that no one tracks trial accounts. I am not sure i follow this? can someone explain to me how it is that a person sets up a trial, the obvious future intention likely that person would then want to purchase blesta, then out of the blue...wham, gone!!!! (What i thought was an account on Blesta.com is apparently not an account? I thought that i been logging into the blesta.com account for weeks...what was i logging into?

I tried both username and email address just in case. Both said email sent??? (however nothing has come to my email account) Something weird going on. It is as if someone has changed my details on blesta.com. support have just replied...i will check what ive done wrong and post back shortly. EDIT....also, for some reason, emails from the blesta.com automated system are going to my junk mail...i dont understand why. Is the reverse ptr record incorrect?

how do i use wrong recovery details with my own "email" that is used log in? That doesnt make any sense! That is why i asked if blesta.com has been hacked. Has someone hacked my account and changed the details? Even if that were the case, i should recieved an error when i submit the recovery to say that the email address i provided is incorrect. That is not the case. The email is being sent but not recieved in my email account (i have checked junk mail...its not there.

I am on a trial...without any warning my entire blesta.com account appears to have dissapeared. My username and password combination does not work, I cannot get any emails to my email account to reset the password (they never arrive) Has blesta.com been hacked? What has gone wrong?

is it possible for a script to be able to automatically change the client area theme on a regular basis from the list of available themes? (like google does with its logo on it chrome browser) Im mainly want to be able to change the colors more than anything else. if so, how would i do this?

hi guys, i notice that blesta uses .svg format for the logo. what size should the logo be before importing? (in pixels) i can save in the format using adobe illustrator however, i am not sure of the additional svg options settings. Styling? 1. Internal CSS 2. Inline Css 3. Presentation Atrributes Images? 1. Preserve 2. Embed 3. Link Object ID's 1. layer names 2. Minimal 3. Unique Decimal 1. mine is default at 2 should i have minify checked or unchecked? I assume that responsive should be checked?

Hi guys, i have virtualmin server setup. I manually created a client in blesta and selected a package and then provisioned it. during this provisioning process it appeared to fail and the browser threw an error saying to try again later. i refreshed the browser and attempted to redo the failed provisioning however i then got an error saying the account already existed on the virtualmin server. I logged into virtualmin and sure enough the first provisioning had gone through and the website was setup on virtualmin. now how do i resync this with blesta? (blesta is showing zero sites for the account in question)

Hi guys, can i remove default blesta logo on free susbcription or do i first need to upgrade it to a paid one?

Ah I have figured it out now. The procedure is as follows (perhaps this should be entered into the blesta user manual For Google Authenticator (android App) 1. In blesta>my info (near top right of screen)>Account, enable "Time-Based HMAC One Time Password 2. Scan the QR code using Google Authenticator app 3. Enter the key code that is shown in your Authenticator app into blesta ( located in point 1 above) 4. At the bottom, enter your current "blesta" password 5. Click Update. That's it!

I am not following how to set this up. I know how to scan the QR code, however what on earth is the "One time Password"? It says in the info pop that I need to enter a generated one time password, however, what generated one time password is this? (my google authenticator doesn't work this way...all I have to do is scan the QR code am I am supposed to be set (isn't this correct or am I missing something here?) I cannot enable the two factor authentication in blesta because it refuses to go on any further without this generated "phantom" one time password!

According to paypal this is ok to do ...https://www.paypal.com/au/smarthelp/article/can-i-surcharge-paypal-payments-faq3580 The caveat being..."Any surcharge you apply may only be expressed as a percentage of the sale total, not a fixed dollar amount." In light of that, how do we apply such a surcharge by percentage in Blesta? If not in Blesta, can this be applied when the client is taken to paypal to complete the transaction?

the "must be manually approved' option hasn't been checked in blesta order form has it?

Hi guys, I have setup blesta and configured it to run with the virtualmin module. Setup some packages, package groups, order groups, and order forms for shared hosting on my virtualmin server. My fist virtualmin plan is as follows 500MB storage 1500 MB bandwidth 1 user 0 mail accounts 0 databases After running this through paypal sandbox (which i setup previously) using the sandbox seller and, and then creating a new genuine buyer via the blesta shopping cart, everything went reasonably well except for a couple of things... 1. blesta is not adding gst to the purchase price. (ie $5 hosting + gst is showing a total of $5 in blesta which is incorrect...however paypal correctly says the total is $5.50) 2. when i then go into virtualmin dashboard as the virtulamin administrator, i find the new account has setup (fantastic), however the limits for the plan are all over the place: Name: goanna ftp login: goannado Real Name: domain.tld diskc quota (storage): unlimited quota: unlimited login access: FTP and SSH Databases: all The ftp login should not even be possible...it is disabled for this server template and account plan. The disk quota on the virtualmin server for this plan is 500MB Quota is 1500MB SSH is disabled for this template and plan can someone help out with this? what has gone wrong...is this something i have done or is it a problem with the provisioning module? (Is setting a "0" to say no to a particular field the wrong thing to do? Is the program seeing "0" as being the same as "unlimited"?)

I would like to use blesta to provision Wordpress VPS instances. Is it possible for a blesta admininstrator (or even clients) to manually initiate external VPS updates/upgrades? I dont want wordpress vps clients having access to the backends of their machines. Having said that, I also dont want to have to manually log into the backend of each machine individually to perform updates and upgrades. It this possible from Blesta?

I am just wondering, is there any further updates on this? Why is the zip file now unavailable? I am having some rather frustrating problems with Virtualmin of late, and the forum responses to a large number of user requests are almost non existent, so i think i am going to be forced to move to another control panel. I was thinking Centos Web Panel. Another option would be Cyberpanel (although there is something about Cyberpanel that doesnt sit right with me inside)

Just an update on the original problem.... I changed server hostname entry in blesta to my server public (external) ip address and instantly i now see the virtualmin virtual server templates when creating new packages in blesta. I dont know why the hostname.fqdn isnt working?

i was looking through my website options in virtualmin for the blesta installation and i noticed that the php script execution mode is set to FCGId (run as virtual server owner). does FCGId still allow use for .htacess? (i thought it used php.ini) Will this cause my problem or is it not related to the issue i am having?
