My Setting it up thread

JAMMAN

Question

Among other stupid questions to come.

First I'm just setting it up, no emergency rush I want to make it right before flipping the switch.

I'm not importing clients from W**** I want to recreate clients properly and have them re sign up for services through the blesta interface being I am changing packages, server types, everything. I only have 130 or so clients left.

When you get the invoice thing done (logo, background, terms) is there a way to "View" an invoice sample without creating a fake user and sending it to them?

Maybe I haven't searched enough but where is the file I send paypal IPN's to?

And something I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered... one time I changed the IPN address in paypal. Any new subs or ones about 6 months previous would send but my IPN log in paypal was showing some of the older subs were still sending to the old URL! I spent substantial time on the phone with them and they said it couldn't be changed. This happened years ago I'm hoping I don't have to re subscribe all my long time paypal customers again.

OK so the "callback" directory is created some time during the paypal module setup?  I did see that post but saw no callback directory yet and figured it might be an old post.

The docs are WAY above average for explaining things in the north American English dialect LOL I'm virtually impressed.

He says don't worry about it.. you don't know me very well yet!!!  :)

OK I get it and understand BUT is this the first time you have been asked that? Maybe somewhere in the docs for the more observant customers "this is not an actual directory, the request will be routed to the proper place"

Thanks for the explain, in my best terminator voice.. "I'll be back"

What am I missing, there is no "Quarterly" option for payment in the new package setup that I see?

When creating a package, you can set multiple prices to cover whatever terms you want. When editing the package, click "Add Additional Price" under Pricing. Then for Term, enter 3, for Period select Month, and set your price. You just added a 3 month/Quarterly option.

Is there any way to do a blanket account import from  a cpanel server, like a migrate feature? Not ideal but just wondering.

There's not a cPanel only account import, but there is a process to adding cPanel accounts to Blesta if Blesta did not create them. Just follow these steps: https://docs.blesta.com/display/user/cPanel#cPanel-ImportingcPanelAccounts
