Images not showing in client emails

corriganc

Question

Hi all,

I'm very new to Blesta and have been configuring client emails. I've added our logo to the top of the message, but there seems to be some issue with this displaying on the recipient's end.

I've tested with Outlook, Gmail and Zoho Mail - Outlook does display the image after clicking "I trust content from XXX" but Gmail and Zoho Mail do not display the image.

I've tried inserting the image using the built in options, as well as doing it manually through and <img> tag, but the same result for both.

Any advice/info to help me get this working properly?

In an ideal world, I'd replicate the email templates which WHCMS uses, as I think they look really smart instead of plain text.

Thank you.

Follow up - I read on another forum post about manually editing the template in the database. If I do this, the system refuses to sends emails and just presents a white page.

A white page indicates an error, it's likely that you've saved something in the template that is not acceptable. If you are using styles, they should be inline.

Regarding the logo not appearing in emails, many mail clients will not load external images by default unless the user select to do so. If that is not the issue, have you checked the source of the email to see if the image is linked correctly?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply. I'd checked the image loading in the client and this wasn't the issue. I messed around with this for quite some time, using both the GUI editor and inserting it as HTML code into the email.

For some reason, I just couldn't get it working. However, I came another post (which I now can't find for some reason!) which provided a nice email template and was able to adapt the supplied template to suit my needs, including displaying our logo at the top.

Thank you anyway! :blesta:
