Paul
Dear Cody and other guys; configurable options is free or additional charges necessary ? The configurable options feature is free, and included in Blesta 3.1 assuming you have support & updates (Everyone on v3 does until at least Aug 14, 2014). With configurable options however, you can charge your customers more for certain options. For example, if you're selling dedicated servers you can have a drop down for the number of IP addresses.. Extra IPs -None- 2 - $3 3 - $5 4 - $6 Etc.. Michael and Ercan DAĞ
MemoryX2
3.1 looks awesome so far! I haven't done any testing yet, but I just installed via gui with no problem! Thanks!
MemoryX2
Are bug fixes in 3.0.7 and the coming 3.0.8 automatically implemented into 3.1? For example 3.0.8 isn't released yet, but I saw a post from Tyson about some bug where he said fixed core xxx 3.0.8. So will 3.1.0 b2 have that fix rolled in as well? Michael
Yeah I would think so mate, their fixes will be 3.0.8 and ours will be in b2.

Michael
For those of us who have licenses from 3rd parties and not Blesta how can we access this. It depends on your provider, I've asked Paul on behalf of a customer and was given permission to give it my customer. But again it all depends on the provider. interfasys
Is there an upgrade path from b1 to b2,.....rc,... gold release? Since 3.1 is the first version with an importer from competing solutions, I was thinking of starting with that and launching on 3.1 final.
Michael
Is there an upgrade path from b1 to b2,.....rc,... gold release? Since 3.1 is the first version with an importer from competing solutions, I was thinking of starting with that and launching on 3.1 final. There will be a upgrade path as you just run /upgrade and it will upgrade the files if needed as I'm aware. So you can upgrade from 3.0.8 or 3.1.0-b1. 3.1 only has the importer from 2.5 / whm** at the moment same as 3.0.7. interfasys
Paul
Mike is right, you can upgrade.. however, couple things to note.. 1. If you upgrade from 3.0.x to 3.1.0-b1, you MUST run the upgrader via CLI, ie php ./index.php admin/upgrade 2. If you do a fresh install of 3.1.0-b1, you should be able to upgrade to 3.1.0-b2, and 3.1.0 final via GUI or CLI methods. This is due to a bug in 3.1.0-b1 that breaks the CLI upgrader. interfasys and Michael
interfasys
Thank you both. I think I'll wait for b2. Does the WHMCS importer work with V4 data?
Paul
Thank you both. I think I'll wait for b2. Does the WHMCS importer work with V4 data? Only one way to find out, my guess is, probably. They haven't changed much with their database schema I don't believe. However, it's probably better to copy your install, upgrade the copied version, and then import from that database. interfasys, HarlanCapy and lenaminchenko
interfasys
Yeah, I'll try that on b1 if you don't release b2 by the end of the week and will report back in the beta forum.
Michael
Thank you both. I think I'll wait for b2. Does the WHMCS importer work with V4 data? It should do, it's all got the same mysql tables mate. interfasys
Cody
Thank you both. I think I'll wait for b2. Does the WHMCS importer work with V4 data? I am highly doubtful the migrator, which is designed for 5.2+, will work for version 4.x. WHMCS made a number of structural changes in 5.1 and 5.2, which will no doubt result in invalid queries on a version 4.x database. So while you might get some data out of it, it won't completely work without some changes. I don't know if WHMCS does a license validation check before upgrading, but you might be able to get away with it if you: Backup your WHMCS database Copy your WHMCS files to a new location Import your WHMCS database backup to a new database Update your WHMCS copy config to point to the new database Overwrite your WHMCS copy v4 files with the latest version of WHMCS Run the upgrade on your WHMCS copy Migrate from this (newly upgraded) database to Blesta You won't actually need to login to WHMCS backup copy you made, Blesta will simply import from this upgraded database. interfasys
interfasys
Thank you very much Cody. Unfortunately, in order to get the files, you do need a license, so I'm left with waiting for your HostBill migrator or getting a monthly license of WHMCS. I suspect I'll go with the latter if I want to get something done in Q1.
