Anybody tried Froxlor? http://www.froxlor.org/

I was curiously looking for a Cpanel alternative, and I found this contender. It has been founded by ex team members of SysCP.

So far it looks ok. Any opinion? What I found on the web seems dated, and the product had a lot of updates since then...

Of course, I would need a blesta plugin before going live... :(

I've never heard of it before, it looks weird but different.

is new one , is has a less featurs that you can go with it . if you need a free alternative is better to go with webmin or zpanel or centos webpanel , all both have full feature needed by a webhosting company

I don't recommend zPanel it's a security hell hole.

  • 5 years later...

Froxlor is great. There used to be a control panel called Confixx, which was produced by Plesk Inc. It was sold to SWSoft and later to Parallels. When Confixx died a few years back, I migrated to Froxlor and it's been great. It is definitely not as automated as cPanel, but for an open-source solution, I have to say, it works great. I now have it deployed on 2 Debian servers.

zPanel has now been discontinued and no longer maintained, I wouldn't recommend that one.

Heres a nice big list of free control panels I put together, the users on the lowendtalk forum then decided which they used for their hosting https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/159288/which-free-web-hosting-control-panel-would-you-recommend
