Pipe with Debian 12

mortsmel

Question

Hello,

I have a control panel less install, I'm using blesta's pipe functionality via sendmail as the serving process.

/etc/alias has the appropriate entries:

rh-gen-support: "|/usr/bin/php /var/www/html/rippinhost.com/my/plugins/support_manager/pipe.php"
rh-info: "|/usr/bin/php /var/www/html/rippinhost.com/my/plugins/support_manager/pipe.php"
rh-billing: "|/usr/bin/php /var/www/html/rippinhost.com/my/plugins/support_manager/pipe.php"

With no other alterations, other than associated settings in departments area, the result is the following:

As you can see, rh-info@rippinhost.com is the associated email, and it is defaulting to support@my.rippinhost.com.

Sorry if my post is gibberish, but nothing is making sense...

It worked one time, but w/ Google I receive the following, even went the extent of changing the email alias to just support@my.rippinhost.com and support@rippinhost.com.

Our system received your email, but was unable to process it for one of the following reasons..

1. The email address you sent the message from does not belong to any of our clients and this department only allows existing clients to open tickets.

2. You replied to a ticket notice, and we are unable to determine what ticket number you are responding to.

3. The department you emailed no longer exists.

Nothing is making sense.

It is set to allow messages to come from any/to create.

If the issue is that email sent from the support system is coming from support@my.rippinhost.com then there are 2 places in Blesta to check for this.

  1. Under Settings > Company > Emails, edit all the templates for the "Support Manager". On ticket receipt, the template used to auto reply is "Ticket Received". Edit and check the From Address.
  2. Now, there is an option to OVERRIDE the from address on the templates on the department. Support > Departments: Edit. Make sure the department email is correct, and the option "Override the from address set in email templates with the email address set for this department" is checked.
