Is blesta support cloud vps hosting or hourly billing?

I mean if there is any module, something which allow us to charge hourly fees like cloud vps(eg: like linode which allow customer to create vps/delete and charge hourly)

Thanks.

You can charge daily but that's like an invoice a day. And you can use configurations to monitor diskspace and bandwidth, but I believe you want something like this bucket idea: http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/4121-bucket-billing-short-and-long-term-solution/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hourly billing is monthly billing but prorated by the hour, correct? Some providers will bill you at the end of the month (or when cancelled) or will bill you for a month in advance, but credit you if you cancel early.

So, with Blesta, and prorated credits, you can do the latter.. you can bill for a month in advance, and if cancelled the client can get a prorated credit for the difference. The only issue I see is that the prices are displayed  for the full term and not for the hour.. but a few tweaks to the order form, or your website pricing an you can display the price in the hourly rate (price / (30x24)).

Or am I missing something else?

some cloud provider bill you just when the vps is on , so when the vps is off is not billed for the time when it was off .

some provider bill you for the addidional RAM used in hours .

Who doesn't bill when it's off? (Just curious) Since the resources are allocated, I could be holding up a massive amount of resources, but not paying for anything if I'm not billed when its off.

Like ovh vps cloud . They bill you by hour just if the vps is ON .

Why? Maybe marketing strategy !!!

Probably inspired by Vmware's software licensing model.

They charge providers based on the average reserved memory usage.
