A couple of pre-sales questions

djacobs@markleygroup.com

Question

W are looking for a full featured billing system for our company. One of the key requirements is that we need to be able to pull in data from back-end systems such as vmWare, various storage systems, etc. to bill based on usage. We are totally comfortable writing custom code to integrate the data, as long as the hooks are there. We also need to be able to easily customize billing for individual customers in ways such as discounts, bundling and overrides. An additional feature we are looking for is some integration with Salesforce.

Does blesta have these features? I didn't see any of this stuff explicitly addressed as I poked through the site.

Thank you.

I left off a couple of other things we are looking for - the ability to create a quote that can easily be converted to an invoice, and the ability to create billing based on minimum commitments (i.e. Company A commits to 60 vCPUs, 100GB RAM and 3TB SSD per month for a year, and when the usage numbers are pulled in, that will be the baseline with overages charged as appropriate. After the year is up, the minimum commitment ceases to be a requirement, so billing would be based on actual usage).

I believe so: http://source-docs.blesta.com & https://docs.blesta.com/display/dev/Events if not please open a feature request and hopefully the guys can add them soon.

you can't bill by the usage yet though there's a feature request for bucket billing and it's possible as Blesta use it for their VAR licenses. But it's not public.
