    Easier Order Forms

Is there any possible way to modify the current ones that easily, so could just do this; User chooses the domain name they want Domain is available, so it's added to the cart Transferred to hosting packages User picks the package, and either fills in the domain or it's filled in already Check out for both products As for me this is the logical way of an order form for at least Web hosting. Is this easily possible to modify currently, or is it looking easier to wait?

  2. Here's a screenshot from 3.1 dev for creating a new configurable option. In this case, we are adding a configurable option that is a drop down for Extra IP Addresses. The drop down has 1 IP, 5IPs, and 256 IPs as options with unique pricing per selection. The field name and value are passed to the module during provisioning, and if the module is expecting the information it can use it to alter the way it provisions a service. Items can be sorted within the drop down, or radio, etc. Only items with a pricing option that matches that selected for the service will appear.

I agree, I will be taking a close look at this prior to releasing 3.1. To be honest, it should be working that way and I think that was the intention, not sure what happened to be honest. EDIT: CORE-831, so it's not forgotten

Exactly what I am also after.

  6. Not really. At this point I don't think the devs are even sure. Paul has stated in the past he wants about a 6 ~ 8 week release period, at least something close to that. (I'm trying to remember but not 100%) But anyway. their will be a 3.0.5 out soon, maybe even this week so I would assume that earliest would be roughly 6 weeks from when 3.0.5 is released but their may be a 3.0.6 so it's hard to say. depends on the bugs and all. Most seem to be squashed out. I have to say, we are interested in mass mailing as well. Didn't really realize how nice it was until it was gone.

What payment gateways do you need that aren't currently included? Having all the same payment gateways doesn't mean much, if you don't actually need them. We are building more, and prioritizing by demand. We do have plans to create new and unique order forms, ones that work well with a particular product like shared hosting, or virtual hosting, etc. One page AJAX forms, multi-step, and more. It's not as simple as making something work just like a particular hosting company when the order form needs to support a diverse range of products and services. We try to build things that are versatile, but we also see the need to build things that are targeted to a particular offer. Aside from any tweaks to the existing order templates, our plans for more templates will follow a conversion of the client area to bootstrap. It will be significantly easier to create new and unique and awesome looking order forms once this has taken place. This will be after 3.1, which adds configurable options (among other things), which we see as a critical first step.

  8. This is planned for 3.1, packages will be sortable within package groups, and this order will be used by the order system when displaying packages.

    Sort Order For Packages?

This is assigned to CORE-628 and is a blocker for 3.1. Packages will be drag-n-drop sortable within their groups. ie, under Packages > Groups, click a group, and drag-n-drop the packages within the expandable area. A similar method for sorting configurable options will be in 3.1 as well.
