We purposely did not implement normal FTP backups because they are not secure. I'd recommend using SFTP or Amazon S3. S3 is free to a certain point, so you should be able to backup to a container there for free or really cheap.

Hello all, I came here looking for a fix to the ugly and confusing PayPal Standard Payments buttons on the Confirm Payment page. I came across this thread in the support topics: http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2532-change-paypal-buttons/ I love the idea quoted below and I'd like to make it a feature request: So may feature request is to use standard UI buttons for the payment form, with text labels like "Pay with PayPal". This will increase usability and accessibility. You could also add an option for showing one of the new PayPal logos on the Make Payment page with the payment method, and possibly the PayPal accepts cards image on the Confirm Payment page. One more feature request: It would be great if Blesta provided a customizable message for the Confirm Payment page to help guide the customer through the payment process. I was running 2.5 for a very long time and I'm really enjoying 3.2! Thanks for all your hard work!

I don't think I've ever been able to get this functionaility to work correctly. Trying to process a PayPal refund using Blesta fails. In the Blesta logs, The INPUT is a success. I agree with Cody, I like Blesta to use universal buttons on all, its more clean, professional and clients can understand it more clearly than grafical buttons. I hate PayPal buttons, I never liked, even the new ones are very ugly

OK, I managed to replicate duplicates/triplicate invoices. I only have changed the "Renew Date". After 3 changes just for testing on day 10 it has send 2 new invoices on day 10 and today, day 12 has sended one more for the same service. Blesta has to had some sort of check for what is causing the duplication every time we change the "Change Renew Date", if we change tree, four ou five times, it seems blesta will send several invoices for the same service. After Blesta fix/detect this, maybe add this also: On "Managing" a service, wen we select in "Actions on" "Change Renew Date", dont let it change if the date is =< (equal or less then the default term selected on that package). Please can anybody test this? change the "Renew Date" several times, saving it, and then let it run for a couple of days and check it it it duplicates/triplicates the invoices fro the same service. SFTP is FTP, you don't ever ever ever want to do backups un-securely.

I haven't read the PayPal API docs, but from what Blesta made it seem, it should be possible to do refunds if you have API credentials.

I appreciate your input Cody. I agree that PayPal's buttons are not the most aesthetically pleasing! Paulo's suggestion was also to do away with the graphics, so if this topic were to be moved to a feature request, perhaps others from the community could also give their feedback? To be honest, it may well be the best way to go, thereby covering all gateways. However, my opinion is that it doesn't matter that it doesn't mention "PayPal" on the buttons because the user has already chosen, on the previous screen, to pay with PayPal (they are the official PayPal buttons).

I like the consistency, but these might be a problem due to the simple fact that the buttons don't mention "PayPal" in any capacity. Personally (and this is me speaking as an individual and not in any official capacity as a Blesta dev), I like the idea of not using graphical buttons at all. I think they should just be regular UI buttons that say either "Pay with PayPal" or "Pay with PayPal Subscription". And similarly for all other non-merchant gateways (i.e. "Pay with Stripe", "Pay with Skrill", etc.). That would be, by far, the most consistent implementation, and the most graphically pleasing. On a side note, PayPal has some of the ugliest buttons ever imagined. They were ugly in 1998, and even more so today. This only fuels my desire to do away with graphical buttons altogether.
