You *should* be fine, but Blesta attracts bears. Must be the honey in our pockets.3 points

They really do ban for crazy reasons. I just posted a topic reviewing blesta and Interworx So lets see If that gets me into trouble. Although I do not think it will s I did not break any rules with it. here is the link http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=3196dde178aaee47d8229eba25f4e472&p=91999042 points

Sorry to ear one more WHT member getting banned for "stupid" reasons The rule of "multiple accounts" on WHT can apply for some administrators on WHT that I know that they have multiple user accounts to pass as "normal users" and respond to foruns and not being detected I really think that if we "push" banned users from WebHostingTalk to outher forum, in this case i can pass the word, to MyHostingBoard (I have been invited to be a Moderator by ServZoo, so dont get me rong ) we can create a new comunity to open the eyes of WHT and all members. Also a really think that Blesta Foruns is growing very fast, (Im pushing some words from Blesta Foruns to search engines for SEO ) I know that are some really good Hosting Foruns out there, but the number 1 is still WHT and some members and administrators are destroying the greatest Forum out there.2 points

I did some brief searching and could find any threads even though I thought this was talked about before. There should be a way to print out a current statement for a customer. For example if they have 2 invoices, 1 is partially paid, I should be able to print out a statement that shows the total from both invoices minus the amount paid and the total they owe. I looked in reporting and couldn't find anything either although I would figure I would find this on the clients page in the admin section.1 point

Anyone using resell.biz to register domain their customer's domain names, and they want to add domain privacy to the order, they can do it by using the "options" feature. Goto 'packages' 'options' Create a package group named: Domain Privacy Create a package option named: Domain Privacy In the 'Value' box add: purchase-privacy=true Add the option to your group and save. Finally, update the domain package by adding the Domain Privacy Group under 'configurable options' Done When the customer checks the domain privacy option box during the order process an arrow will show up on the order form under the domain name that is being ordered. It will have the additional price for privacy.1 point

An Intro
eversmile_host reacted to wfitg for a topic
I'm a n00b here and just wanted to say hi. I purchased Blesta because i was unhappy with WHMCS. Needless to say, I like Blesta more. It does everything I want without all the bloat, plus I like the admin control panel much better. I feel like I am getting in on the ground floor since the development is on going. As I learn about Blesta I can contributate here. After reading this forum for a couple weeks i decided to switch. It seems like the developers and staff are a great group of people. So... Hi everyone!1 point -
Noticed tonight when I did a manual activation using the Interworx module that the client could not login with their email address and password (sent in the welcome email.) It appears that when doing a manual activation, Blesta is creating a nickname for the new account and that is stopping the email address login from working. I have double-checked for options to change it, but it appears to be something happening that shouldn't. Here's what I did: Add Service to Client: The service is activated and the welcome email is sent out with username: email address and password. Upon trying to login to Interworx: Going in via Nodeworx, I can see that a nickname has been set: I can login with the nickname and the password. This is strange as it doesn't display the nickname and inside Blesta it shows the e-mail address as the username.1 point

Clef Logins
wfitg reacted to medfordite for a topic
Anyone use this yet on thier Wordpress site? I just enabled it on my site and it has blown me away. It is a new way of thinking about login security by using your mobile device as your login key. For those interested: http://www.getclef.com I would love to see this as an option in Blesta. They have PHP code for this on their site to integrate with your site and system if it is not Wordpress or Drupal.1 point -
I just didn't want to spam the forum here; I didn't think it as wise on my part since I started. it. :-)1 point

The uploads directory should go somewhere above your web directory (where it's not web accessible), and it doesn't really matter where exactly so long as the path set in Blesta points to it. The setting can be found in Blesta under [settings] -> [system] -> [General] -> [basic Setup]. Since you're performing an upgrade, you probably already have the /uploads directory on your server from the initial installation. The php5.5 hotfix is only used if your server is running php 5.5. If you are running php 5.5, then you would overwrite the files in /blesta with the files in /hotfix-php5.5 when you perform the upgrade.1 point

[Wordpress + Blesta] Easy Integration
PauloV reacted to Hosting Nation for a topic
We haven't tried it yet but will be soon as we are building our rebrand on WP and intend on Blesta integration. I am also not an iframe fan and will research some other methods such as api.1 point -
Mike is right, for whatever reason MySQL crashed. This may have to do with MySQL simply timing out. Check your MySQL config file, my.cnf for wait_timeout. You may want to increase this value, and try again on a fresh v3 installation. (We recommend doing a backup of a fresh Blesta install, so you can restore the database before attempting a new import).1 point

Hello, like I promisse (a litle late ) here is what I found out If we do this below we can change the currency for a default one if it dosent support on the Gateway. (now it only needs a Summary->Total function to convert the choosen currency total to the default gateway currency. It will take more time for me to detect and implement the conversion rate) Open: plugins/order/order_form_controller.php line 592 find: if ($currency == null) Change to: $default_currency = "USD"; // put here your default gateway currency to convert if it dosent exists if ($currency == null) on line 606 find: // Fetch merchant gateway for this currency $merchant_gateway = $this->GatewayManager->getInstalledMerchant($this->company_id, $currency, null, true); Replace with: // Fetch merchant gateway for this currency $merchant_gateway = $this->GatewayManager->getInstalledMerchant($this->company_id, $currency, null, true); if (!$merchant_gateway) $merchant_gateway = $this->GatewayManager->getInstalledMerchant($this->company_id, $default_currency, null, true); $currency = $default_currency; Find on line 624: $gw = $this->GatewayManager->getInstalledNonmerchant($this->company_id, null, $gateway->gateway_id, $currency); if ($gw) $nonmerchant_gateways[] = $gw; Replace with: $gw = $this->GatewayManager->getInstalledNonmerchant($this->company_id, null, $gateway->gateway_id, $currency); if (!$gw) $gw = $this->GatewayManager->getInstalledNonmerchant($this->company_id, null, $gateway->gateway_id, $default_currency); $currency = $default_currency; if ($gw) $nonmerchant_gateways[] = $gw; I hope that helps But ofcourse with ould be great to have a defaul option to select a "default" currency for each Payment gatway that make the convertion from the client choosent currency and display on the order summary and on the invoice something like: $100 USD (converted to £78.73 for payment gateway support)1 point

Awbs
interfasys reacted to PauloV for a question
I also agree AWBS was/is the best Rock Solid Billing Hosting System, much better than WHMCS/Hostbill (in terms of Solid/Stable/Reliable), we also used for many, many years Still isnt any billing system with an Advance Domain Managment system like there is now on AWBS, it does almost averithing. Its to bad is dead, and it was a mistake from us moving after AWBS to WHMCS, but we have learned from our mistakes We are trying to add every functionality that AWBS has on Domains to Blesta I also agree there maybe lots of clients stil using AWBS1 point -
We have a HB environment we can use to create the importer, but it hasn't bubbled up to the top of the priority list yet. Are you waiting on a migrator in order to move to Blesta? Are you willing to test an importer for us? It's likely any new importers will be geared for Blesta 3.3.1 point

The Markeplace Discussion (Split)
interfasys reacted to Paul for a topic
I just wanted to chime in on the module / marketplace discussion. I'll admit that I only read about 75% of the responses, as they were quite lengthy but I think I have a good understanding. If there's anything you want me to clarify, or think I overlooked, please let me know. 1. We want to support 3rd party developers as best as we can. We can't build everything for every niche. We are also aware that these developers have a financial incentive to build modules that we won't turn around and build ourselves. We can't guarantee this will never happen, but if there is any question, we encourage developers to ask us. We'll be as honest as possible about our future plans. Using ModulesGarden as an example, it's highly unlikely we'll develop an extended cPanel module anytime soon with the functionality they have built in because a) it already exists at a reasonable price, it fills the demand, and c) there are other areas of demand we can focus our efforts to move forward. Us building a cPanel extended module now would be a lateral move, and take away from much needed forward momentum. 2. We have partially built "The Marketplace", which is intended to be a marketplace of extensions for Blesta by 3rd party developers, and, at times, ourselves. When this is ready, 3rd party developers will be able to list their free and paid extensions in the marketplace. 3. There are 3 types of extensions we will develop. a) free and included in the core, free and available through the marketplace, and c) paid. We will never take our free modules, and start charging for them on an a-la-cart basis. If they start out included, they will stay that way. (Unless for example the company or panel we've integrated with disappears and we simply remove it altogether.) 4. An example of a paid extension that we will be releasing is the Licensing Module / Licensing Manager Plugin combo. This is the same system we use to license Blesta, and we will be releasing it as a paid extension. The reason this will be a paid extension is because it serves a smaller market segment. Not many people need it. There will be other paid extensions like this down the road that either serve a particular niche, segment, or enterprise, but we will not be moving to an everything a-la-cart system. We will also not be moving to a limited feature module, pay more for extended feature model to upsell people. I hope this helps clarify our position.1 point
