We are intending to extend the portal plugin into a more fully featured CMS. Adding additional links to the navigation, even if they link to external content (ie your existing website) would be best suited for this plugin most likely. You could create additional pages and enter the content in a WYSIWYG editor in Blesta, or link those pages to external content.4 points -
I started only to find a cool framework for responsive websites, and ended to find a better almost perfect IDE to build Responsive Websites + Mobile APP's Thanks for all (naja7host), helping find the Perfect IDE for building Responsive Websites + Mobile APP's, and the great is that all is free NetBeans (https://netbeans.org/) + Cordova (http://cordova.apache.org/)+ (SDK's of all Mobiles) = The Best Free APP Builder for Android/IOS/WINDOWS Mobile NetBeans (https://netbeans.org/) + HTML5 = The Best IDE for building Responsive Websites Many thanks to flangefrog in this post: http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2973-fully-custom-blesta-order-page/#entry23967 and ofcourse some reserach what NetBeans can do that outhers dont do P.S- Installing everithing on Windows 8.1 take me one full day of researching and testing/debugging, but in the end it compensates every hour spended Now I can build and test in real time my APP's and/or Responsive Websites on my SmartPhone/Tablet/Browser in mutiple OS's Everithing is now set to start building an APP for IOS and Android for Blesta (wen I get some free time, and finish some pending work at the office) To anyone ho want to start build mobile aplications now its the time, its so easy, like a simple website (some acknowledgement in javascript/css/html ofcourse) I use UNITY3D in the past but takes more time to develop than this, UNITY3D is good only for games, for app's takes alot of time3 points

[Cancel At End Of Term] Dosent Work Wen Client Order
domaingood and one other reacted to Tyson for a topic
CORE-1370, as described above, is now complete. As is CORE-1389, so I'm going to close this thread.2 points -
One of the main reasons I tend to choose Foundation in a lot of instances is because of it's integration with form verification right out of the box. I do a lot with forms, and it's a huge time saver. The pageload has never really been an issue or a thought really, neither one of them are really huge with minification done. (and I tend to strip a lot of the fluff I don't need anyway)2 points

Though, the core is a stat I don't normally pay attention to, because it's normally not helpful at all. Simply saying "1 core" doesn't tell me anything. Is that a shared core? Dedicated Core (doubt it)? 1.8ghz core? 3.3ghz core? So if you are looking for advice on planning offerings...that's one thing I will say...give people details into what you mean by "core".2 points -
Yeah, security-wise it's not a problem. Inactive users can't login. But, if you are concerned, you could change their password and email address and then de-activate.2 points

@Cody Yes I have understood the way it works since the beginning Like I said in my personal use its very confusing and like naja7host said is correct In one month if we have every day, 10 new orders and every day 5 payments, for lets say for the last 5 orders, the same numbering will be used for outher clients and here is the problem For any accounting even for no legal mather every type of document it's better to have a unic not repeated (Im not talking about duplicated documents) sequential numbering to not make any confusing wen tracking records A very easy and dirty fix is to use an event to save the lastest proforma number in a separate field in the database and wen triggered an order get that number +1 and change the proforma invoice number Wen blesta 3.3 goes stable we will add this event in our case because its much better to see things and track records Its only my opinion, and i think every accounting software works this way also2 points

As some know I've been pretty active around here lately in offering custom development and just overall solutions that either fill a niche or a growing need. While I love programming in Python, my roots started in PHP and I still use the language to this day. Now I'm offering custom development for every and anyone here. Past, current and future are welcome to reach out to me. You can see some of my work here: https://github.com/anzenehansen/Blesta-Goodies While I like to offer what I develop to everyone, its not a requirement and I can release the product only to you. WHAT YOU GET: Premium development and direct communication An account to our project management system so you can monitor our progress Continued support after development is done* Updates either at request or when we reach a milestone in the project PRICES This is always the stickler for people, and my company understands that. We started our business to help other small businesses without stretching their bank. Heck, we're bootstrapped from the core up ourselves. Our pricing is flexible and depends more on the project. We do ask for 10% down up front though, and charge hourly (another reason why we give you an account to our project management system, so you know what you're paying for). The hourly rate is typically around $10/hour. As a note though, require the invoice to be paid before providing the finished product. We are, however, happy to provide screenshots or other proof. Currently we only accept PayPal for payment. HOW? As our website is currently under development the best way to enquire about this is to contact plugin-dev@anzensolutions.com and our team will get in touch with you. If you need to provide attachments or the like, then please email the ticket # to me (ehansen@anzensolutions.com) along w/ the attachments as we do not allow them currently through Blesta.1 point

Solution To Domain Diferent Prices And Transfer Handling :)
domaingood reacted to PauloV for a topic
To Blesta Devs A quick and great way to work around of the main problems in Domains [solution for Diferent Prices for Register/Transfer/Renew Domains] We have seen, that we can on getPackageFields() create "types" on Modules, for exemple, only exists for now the type "domain" in domain modules. Blesta can add 2 new types by default called: domain_renew (with this type we can create diferent prices for domain renewing) domain_transfer (with this type we can create diferent prices for domain transfer) but for this to work correctly, blesta have to make some small changes to "order" plugin. In order plugin blesta have to make some connection/verification if there is a type "domain_transfer", if exists that type, wen clicking on the "button transfer" will get the prices from the type "domain_transfer". If we are registering a new domain, the type is "domain", after a domain is registered, wen a domain is added as "Active", have to be a function that change the "type" from "domain" to "domain_renew" to reflect the new prices on renewing domains. (this is only for "domain" type and not for "domain_transfer" type) [solution for Handelling Domain transfer's checks] We all know (i only know yesterday), that domains transfer are not handling correctly because it dosent check if the domain was transfered or not. So wen a client order a Domain Transfer, after payment, the Registrar Module will add a Calender Event 5 days after the initiation of the domain transfer, to remind us that there is a domain xxxxxx.tld that needs to be verified if everithing went smooth. Blesta also can, after implementing the above "Solution for Diferent Prices for Register/Transfer/Renew Domains", modification, we can check all domains in type "domain_transfer", it will only make a simple check to domain whois, every day (by blesta cron), if the whois from the registrar responds sucessful, then it will change the type from "domain_transfer" to "domain_renew" and corret the expiration/renew date from the expiration date in the "whois" response because the renew date is always the new expiration date after a sucessful transfer from the domain. This way all domains problems will be resolved and dosent need a new "Domain Plugin/Module" that we think is beeing made and will take a lot more time to implement. If some one could support my theory, or have any question, please ask We whant to resolve all Domains problems now1 point -
Hello, Since its maybe dificult to implement right now the sequential unic numbering for Pro-Forma invoices, why not use the same function as for the Support Ticket system? For exemple insted of: Pro-Forma 1 Pro-Forma 2 Pro-Forma 3 ..... Generate for exemple like this: Pro-Forma 7262425-db3d- Pro-Forma 5675552-sh9r- Pro-Forma 1673519-hb4d- I think this way will be unick and impossible to see duplicates if we also add in the function the php date(Date + time) wen generatin the invoice number + hash Please read this: http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3313-pro-forma-invoices-random-number-hash-like-on-support-tickets/#entry243851 point
-
I find it a little funny you created a thread about pro forma invoices not being sequential and now suggest using random (non-sequential) pro forma numbers. The invoice numbers will have to be sequential. Currently, they meet that requirement, but it just may be difficult for users to find and reference some particular pro forma invoices over time. I think the best solution will have to simply be to not reuse them.1 point

In my opinion its better to continue showing the option to upgrade, and if the client upgrades it will remove a scheduled cancellation if the client change the package, because i think we can use the alredy existent option on packages "cancel at the end of the term" to "force" a client to upgrade a package. What I suggest is for clients not be able to upgrade to packages that have the option "cancel at the end of the term" this way here will be no problems1 point

Best Responsive Framework?
PauloV reacted to flangefrog for a topic
Be sure to try the NetBeans plugin for Chrome, it will allow you to reload automatically on save, and even bring changes from dev tools back to NetBeans. As for responsive frameworks, I actually don't like to use any. I understand the use of them for apps like Blesta where it needs to support plugins, but for most smaller websites I build in OpenCart/Joomla I write all the CSS myself (mobile first) which reduces the page size a lot and makes the site much faster. If I was writing a large web application or one that supports plugins I would probably just use bootstrap as a lot of developers already know how to use it.1 point -

Nice info Paulo , I've actually been thinking about setting this up sometime soon, just haven't gotten the time...so I can start putzing around with stuff. Specifically in regards to responsive frameworks question though, I've been having a hard time choosing between Foundation and Bootstrap as well for upcoming projects. Bootstrap is definately the big player at the moment...but Foundation is very, very nice...1 point

Php_Flag In .htaccess In Phpids Plugin
flangefrog reacted to interfasys for a question
You should not have naked php_flag values in .htaccess files and expect that to work with all configs. Ideally, the ones in htaccess would be in ifmodule blocks and the same settings would be added to a .user.ini file.1 point -
Oh damn, I just completely overlooked the system tab - my bad. Thanks!1 point

When you go to setting you will see "company/sistem" in left corner first switch to sistem,if you don't switch you will see only automation settings for company(automation settings for invoice ...etc).When you do that you will find cron settings.1 point

You don't need 777 permissions. If Blesta already runs fine and you can upload files to it then you probably won't need to change anything. Depending on your server configuration file permissions of 644 or even 640 will be enough.1 point -

[Pro Forma Invoices] - Numbering Are Not Sequential
PauloV reacted to Blesta Addons for a topic
owowowow ..... i have tough that is re-issue just the last number , not all free slot numbers . if this is the case , the proforma feature has no sense . so in one mounth we can see 20 proforma invoice with the same number . difficult for us to track , if is just the last number who is re-issued is not a trivial, so 97% can't occur , with free number slot re-issue , is 90% will occur . what i can imagine as a fix the probleme , is adding a new field in the company setting that store the last issue proforma , so if is converted to invoice we still have the last issue number .1 point -

Fully Custom Blesta Order Page
PauloV reacted to flangefrog for a topic
I also use Notepad++ sometimes when I'm working on a single file, but if you're working on a bigger project you should consider checking out NetBeans. It's designed especially for PHP/HTML so makes it easy to refactor, go to declaration, navigate all classes, methods, properties in the file and format code. It shows documentation for all PHP functions and even your own if you have PHPDoc style comments above them. It integrates with several PHP debuggers, will check syntax and best practices. You can connect it with git and other versioning systems and also with bugtrackers. It's got far to many features to list and is very stable, fast and easy to use. https://netbeans.org/features/php/1 point -
Thanks flangefrog! This is what I was looking for. I wanted the clients to see my website header when they are logging in, and replacing the first PHP code with the second worked! I may also try to edit some of the rest of the page too with everyone else's other comments. Thank you everyone!!!1 point

Blesta Vs Whmcs
domaingood reacted to Paul for a question
The bottom line is that there's no 1 software option that's best for everyone. Blesta has a ways to go before it will support all the same gateways and modules as our competitors, and we prioritize development based on demand. WHMCS has had the advantage, a large customer base and plenty of revenue. Yet, they have gone years now without adding any significant new features. Virtually all of their new features and integrations are sold by Modules Garden, a third party developer who was offered an exclusive deal in order to limit competition in the market. The fact is, WHMCS is in damage control and has been for a long time now. As for Blesta: One release at a time. Out of all the products available, Blesta is the best written, the most stable, and has the best track record on security. That's a solid foundation we continue to build on, and we have a lot of great things planned for the future.1 point -
Blesta Vs Whmcs
domaingood reacted to Michael for a question
Agreed Naja7host mate, WHM**: Launched 1.0.0 in 2005 and built on it, each version's modules are passed onto what it is today. When WHM** 6.x comes out in PDO format (Re-write) they are going to be in the same situation because every single module will need to be re-written in PDO to be compatible with their new requirement... Oh well haha win some loose some. HostBill: Launched 1.0.0 in 2008 and has a bad business model changing prices every week when they feel like it to hit the $4,999.96 price mark for everything included in it. They charge a high price per ticket as-well and doesn't have a community with the developers. ClientExec: Launched 1.0.0 in 2002 and built on it in every version. Still doesn't have everything either. Blesta: Opened in 2007, built on 1.x up-to 2.5 and then decided to re-write Blesta from the bottom up again this time making it modular so you only install want you want and need. It's now 99% opened and has a strong API for any developer to make it (Remember people need to live). Blesta 3 is modern, secure (Still), opened and still growing slowly, not too rapid to loose focus on the main focus "Secure & expandable billing system". - My own words. Blesta 3.0.0 went Beta only on August 2013, a year today and it's grown a lot and the community is bigger.1 point -
Blesta Vs Whmcs
marcel reacted to Blesta Addons for a question
Hello @Dominick , we feel your experience , your souffrence , i have to translate blesta in our language (soon we will make it available to the community ) , and i have to developpe and still developping some custom plugins/modules that are not for public because it use our own software or script or services . so we don't beleive it should be for others . in the maintime i'm creating releasing some free plugins for all , that is because a standard for all . i'm affraid about your request to not have time to make something for you , but i'm sure , in the future we will have more free time and we can do more thing to the community , main big bussines is not developping soft , i have my onw revenue from other service i offer , for that all my plugins are free , i beleive in my mind to success my services and still use blesta billing soft , blesta should succes and ashould continue , for that i'm helping blesta/users in this forum , if blesta disapear , i should fetch another alernative to run my billing . another think about blesta , i'm sur they are cranking in some feature and optimizing the code , but i have already talked some day with paul in the chat , and i have told him, to see and listen to users request , what users need is more important for what they want to offer , they ned to make some type of balancing with users requests and TODO list of what they want . whm** has arrived to all this modules/plugins/gateways for so many years of work and help from a lot of other devellopers/companies , blesta is taking thier road and we need to be patient with them for some times . as developper i have stopped working in some modules until the final release of v3.3 , i have stopped imporevement of orderbox registrar , because they will release a new system for domains , i can't accept losing time in coding thing that will not work after some weeks . for ideal gateway check this website, maybe they can do it http://www.php-solutions.nl/ideal . have you put any request in freelance website ? wich registrar you are asking thier module ?1 point -
To be honest why should Blesta support / update third party modules? That's like supporting a client who has a server at another host fixing this and that. It's the developer (aka host)'s issue.. which they dumped on Blesta. iDeal: - Blesta: No gateway yet. - ClientExec: No (https://www.clientexec.com/addons.php) - HostBill: Yes - WHM**: Yes So basic? Maybe but it's not included as a basic gateway at two well known billing systems. Blesta doesn't need to win anyone over, it's just what people want. A secure system or a rushed one with updates every week / month, breaking features but hey it's fully equipped.1 point

The outstanding balance is not carried forward to the new invoice.
