Feature Request - Feedback System Nedded :)
Blesta Addons and one other reacted to PauloV for a topic
Hello Paul/Tyson/Cody Why not open a new section/link with a new kind of feature request more interactive and more usefull that we can track the top features request? For exemple you can add onde feedback system like this http://codecanyon.net/item/ideafeed-interactive-user-feedback-system/6189122 or http://useresponse.com This is really nedded for blesta beacsue there is no way you can track all things, and this way it will be easy for you and for us to ask new features and track the TOP ones to e possible implemented on next release What do you think? Thanks2 points -
I didn't even think to check the log. The answer was right there. Log module output said "[...] Request failed validation: Name server 'ns1.mydomain.com' is not found at the registry. Please double check the nameserver and re-submit. [...]" I forgot that the OpenSRS test environment usually doesn't recognize our nameservers and recommends that we use theirs: default.opensrs.org default2.opensrs.org As soon as I changed this in my Blesta package, I was able to add the service and the test domain was successfully "registered"! Thanks! Looking forward to more of the features becoming available!2 points

Feature Request - Feedback System Nedded :)

addon for IPB like this one http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/6419-sd-ideas/1 point -
Have not decided if we are going to use that or not, open to other suggestions. The feature request forum is not terrible, but it's not really designed for feature requests either. Still, it gives us a pretty good idea what people want. When we hear "please add feature xyz" a lot, then we can't ignore it anymore. Making it easier for people to vote has it's upside, but also some people just vote for everything even if they will never need it.1 point

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I found the email settings in the department setup (Support > Departments > Edit), somehow I missed that before. Haven't gotten it to work yet, but I have some things to try now, and might have to fix some email routing stuff to get it straightened out. Thanks again.1 point

Client-side upgrading is not module-dependent. Whether the client can upgrade a service depends on company settings and whether other packages exist using the same module row that the client could upgrade to. But as Paul mentioned, we won't be adding features to the cPanel extended module to make any necessary remote requests to upgrade their cPanel account accordingly, if that is what you're expecting.1 point

Ah thanks you guys are good1 point

We are only fixing bugs and security related issues with the cPanel Extended module. You may be interested in this module - http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3506-cpanel-module-enhanced-integration/1 point

A 'counter' doesn't technically exist, but is rather generated on the fly based on the other settings.1 point

Content is escaped when displayed, so the label attribute in the config would not be the place to include HTML. Instead, you could create a new attribute to include your custom link and language, then update the module where that field is rendered to check for those attributes and generate the HTML manually. In this case, you wouldn't be able to use ModuleFields, unless you left the label as plain-text, and set javascript that updated the plain-text to a link when the page is displayed. e.g. Configure::set("domain_fields.nl",array( 'Term' => array( 'label' => Language::_("domain.Terms",true), 'type' => "checkbox", 'options' => array( 'Yes' => Language::_("domain.RegistryTerms",true) ), 'custom_label_link' => "http://domain.com/", 'custom_label_name' => Language::_("domain.terms", true) ) ); Then look for 'custom_label_link'/'custom_label_name' in your module, and make adjustments accordingly. While not identical, the Namecheap module does something similar in order to include tooltips. You can take a look at that module for reference.1 point

You don't send customers copies of unpaid invoices? Why not disable the Invoice Delivery (Unpaid) email template so that unpaid invoices are not sent?1 point
-
Based on his description and the screenshots, it looks like FiRaRi is using the 3rd-party Support Manager Pro. We're not able to help with 3rd party plugin issues, but perhaps PauloV (whom created the plugin) could respond, or you can contact him directly.1 point
-
What you're experiencing is normal behavior for invoice number generation. The first invoice ever created begins at the invoice start number, and every number generated afterward is incremented by the invoice increment value. So changing the start value after invoices have already been generated continues to create invoice numbers starting at the next incremented value. As you've discovered, if you want to change the start value in the future, you need to consider that the next invoice number is generated from the increment value and set the start value accordingly. If it did not increment when you changed the start value, it would be possible to generate duplicate invoice numbers, which is arguably a worse outcome.1 point

Domain manager is a top priority along with mass mailer, and affiliate system. It's also the most complex, and is in the process of being spec'd out. I don't have a precise ETA on it yet, but a 3.5 or 3.6 is likely.1 point
-
Are you using the Support Manager that ships with Blesta, or Support Manager Pro, a third party modification? I suggest testing with the Support Manager included with Blesta, verify that it is upgraded under Settings > Company > Plugins > Support Manager. If you are using the 3rd party plugin, it may need to be updated to work properly with 3.3.1 point
-
Yeah, there have been too many tasks that just keep getting pushed forward, rather than assigned to the proper version. We're getting better about this, but it will take another release cycle or so to get everything organized well.1 point
-
You can do so with css on the CSS, Javascript, HTML etc Plugin. You can just put ....{display:none;} http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3437-plugin-css-javascript-toolbox-magic-box/1 point
-
It's not slated for 3.4 Mike, but the Affiliate system is in the process of being fully spec'd out. 3.4 will have a Knowledge Base, Contact logins with ACL permissions, and 2FA for clients and contacts. There will be more, but an Affiliate system is a big task and is unlikely to make it.1 point

Add Credit Without Recording Payment
domaingood reacted to Paul for a question
If you invoice them for the credit, and then invoice them again when the credit is used you are invoicing the client for $6000 but they are only paying you $3000. Your accountant (or worse, the IRS) might wonder about the discrepancy between billables and revenue. It is better if they just make payment for the credit, and the credit remains on their account until you invoice it. You can subscribe to BCC notices on virtual any client email. Edit your staff group under Settings > System > Staff > Groups, and check under "Email BCC Notices". Whichever ones are enabled here you can then subscribe to under "My Info".1 point -
I created CORE-1456 so we can take a look into this issue.1 point

Think this way: 1º- Who uses a sofisticated automated billing system Like Blesta? Re: IT's Managers, Hosting Companies, DataCenters. 2º- Who the hell on point 1º dont want to use a stable, up to date PHP and/or MySQL Version, even if they dont use CloudLinux, Interworx or outher? Re: No one, only none professional buisness or kidies that dont know how to really manage an Hosting buisness want that. There is no reason that you can tell me to convice me to use an outdated PHP and/or MySQL version We do professional buisness, dont you? Everithing is unsecure, I repeat, everithing, even latest PHP 5.6 or MySQL Latest, but if you use the A person that buy Blesta, is a person consern with client data, so it has to use security to prevent future problems Im not telling this to you to get me rong, just to make a point1 point -
