    Client Billing Statement

    I did some brief searching and could find any threads even though I thought this was talked about before. There should be a way to print out a current statement for a customer. For example if they have 2 invoices, 1 is partially paid, I should be able to print out a statement that shows the total from both invoices minus the amount paid and the total they owe. I looked in reporting and couldn't find anything either although I would figure I would find this on the clients page in the admin section.

  2. For one reason or another, we do get a lot of requests to go ahead and generate the next renewal invoice for a service early. The ability to forcibly generate these from an admin standpoint would be excellent!

  3. Is it possible someone sent the invoice manually to the wrong person? If not, I would suspect a contact's email address may be the same for both of those clients, as Paul suggested.

  4. I see. The invoice number changed when it was converted from proforma to a normal invoice, and the system doesn't keep history of the old proforma invoice information for reference in that table.

  5. There is not currently a fix available for that issue. The coupon system was intended to be entirely refactored, so some functionality, like better proration support, was skipped for now. But some pressing features for v3.5 necessitate that we make some revisions to coupons now. Whether coupon proration will be apart of that, I'm not entirely sure yet. My suggestion would be to not use a coupon for a prorated service in the meantime, or manually update the invoice to set a discount instead.

  6. I think you're after Contacts->getNumbers() http://source-docs.blesta.com/class-Contacts.html#_getNumbers

  10. Fundamentally, I didn't come across anything that would make me thin Blesta is a poorly coded or constructed, or anything like that. But as a non-developer, I'm not exactly qualified to judge either way. With that being said, it took me a good 30 - 40 hours longer than it took me to do the same work for WHMCS. I am sorry to say, based on the information I have, I found Blesta very rigid, with many assumptions about modules/plugins that over complicate things, and with practically no documentation. My experience of the documentation was basically that there was none. I literally found no useful information of any kind in the documentation other than where to get the demo files. This is my biggest problem and criticisms, Now that the module is working, I have some understanding of how it all works so if I were to do it again, it would be easier and much faster than before. But in my non-developer opinion, it was overly complex with too many hoops to jump through. There is no reason I can think of it should be much more difficult, or require more specific programming methodologies for Blesta than it would for WHMCS. Honestly what is the benefit? I know this is probably starting to sound like a rant, but it honestly seemed to me that the module template was constructed in such a way.. just because! Like being OOP for the sake of being OOP. If I were to venture a guess, what happened was, someone was given a hammer, and everything started to look like nails. Again... just my non-developer opinion here. But at the end of the day, armed with the knowledge that Blesta is all nails and I now have a hammer, could probably take on other modules with more comfort and ease than before. Isn't that what community forums are all about? What do other people do?

    Upgrade From 3.2.2 To 3.4.3?

    Jonathan is right, and you can get the full release for 3.4.3 at https://account.blesta.com/client/plugin/download_manager/client_main/download/63/blesta-3.4.3.zip Back up your database & installation files first. Your database and /config/blesta.php config file are very important. I'm not aware of any duplicate invoice issues. I would double check that you don't have 2 crons running, that there is just one service or group of services that are being billed and that there isn't also a recurring invoice. If you have any custom code or 3rd party extensions, I would suggest disabling them temporarily to try to rule them out.
