Hosting With Domain Registration Add On
Blesta Addons reacted to cwiley for a question
Hi all. I'm new to Blesta and am setting this up in trial. I've managed to add a hosting package with a domain registration addon. However, I can't figure out how to get the order to flow so that the addon is executed prior to check out. In other words, I was hoping that if someone ordered hosting and selected the domain add on that the customer would then be prompted to search for the domain they want and then proceed with purchasing both the domain and hosting. Can this be done? Also, as I've tested I don't see an option to remove from cart. I can clear the cart contents completely but not selectively. Is that possible as well?1 point -
Old State Code Retained When Changing To Null
Blesta Addons reacted to Larry for a topic
I updated a client address. Originally, the state field was populated. I changed it to a different country which had no states in the dropdown. After saving changes, the old state was retained. History: we found the letter B in the state field for a newly created client in HK. Even though there were no selections in the dropdown for HK, after saving, the B was retained. We have no idea how the B got there in the first place. Lar1 point -
Email Template Payment Approved (Credit Card) Tag
Blesta Addons reacted to evolvewh for a topic
The charge will be listed as being from {company.name} on your credit card statement. Prints this: The charge will be listed as being from on your credit card statement. v3.6.1 with no modifications. If you need other details, let me know.1 point -
The message seems clear to me. What is confusing about the phrasing? The available credits have been applied, but a balance still exists. Please complete this transaction by paying the remainder below. - Credits have been applied - Balance still remains (because credits didn't cover the full amount due) - A statement asks to pay the remainder A warning message is typically shown for inaction, as a notification. The messages shown on the payment page are in reply to actions: two possible ones that can occur at the same time: 1. Apply a credit 2. Make a payment In order to complete the payment process for an invoice, you either need to apply a credit for the total of the invoice being paid, or you need to make a payment for the unpaid amount. In your case, you applied a credit to an invoice (success message!), but it did not cover the full amount. You did not select a payment method to pay the remainder, so you cannot continue to complete the payment process for the invoice (error message!). The total amount due is shown on the payment page, so even after you receive the success message that the credit was applied, and the error message for not selecting a payment method, you can see that the total due has been reduced by the credit that was applied. Why would you want the client to be redirected to the dashboard? They would have to go through the payment process again in the event they made a simple mistake of not selecting a payment method, which is arguably the most common use case. That seems arduous for them. I think accepting payment from customers should be made as simple as possible for them. There's no reason to make it more difficult for them to pay you.1 point

Why would a new transaction be recorded when you are paying via credit? A "payment" via credit means that there exists a remaining amount from some previous payment, i.e., an existing transaction has not been applied in full. So, no transaction is created for applying a credit since one already exists. If you apply a credit and make a payment at the same time, then yes, a transaction is created in the amount of the payment, but not the credit.1 point

null is the appropriate value for 'no state' in Blesta. If a registrar has some requirements for 'no state', then either the registrar should accept a blank value to indicate 'no state', or the module created for Blesta should otherwise set an appropriate value for that field.1 point

Payment Gateways & Pci
Blesta Addons reacted to Max for a question
The way Blesta implements things you do need full PCI complaince with all merchant gateways. Whether or not the PSP will actually check you are compliant beforehand is a different question. However if you are ever compromised and it turns out you were not, things may get expensive. Some PSPs also require you to self-certify how you are using them, and may have follow-up questions if you answer that truthfully. Note that Blesta does NOT use tokenization clients like stripe.js.1 point -

Old State Code Retained When Changing To Null

Thanks for the report. I think this issue is as you described, an old state being re-used when none are available. I added this as CORE-2104. What was the original state set to?1 point -
Hosting With Domain Registration Add On
Blesta Addons reacted to cwiley for a question
Hi. Setting up a package to sell domains isn't the problem. I've already set them up. I also have a hosting package configured. The hosting package has an addon package for domains. When a customer chooses to buy the hosting package and then chooses the domain ADDON package there doesn't seem to be an order flow that allows the customer to buy the domain before continuing the hosting order.1 point -

Forcibly Generate Service's Next Invoice

this feature can't be done if blesta cna't handle this other feature http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/4769-renew-services-before-thier-end-date/?hl=attach#entry35548 and sorry to ad another +1 to this . either add the feature or at least a dd a way that a plugin can work with it . (i code the plugin freely for the community).1 point -
I've now got this working for 2 days in a row and I'm pretty certain this is the fix. For anyone using cPanel and having issues, you may want to try this format for your cron command: */5 * * * * /usr/local/bin/php /home/your_cpanel_username/public_html/index.php cron/?cron_key=your_cron_key If you update the cron key from the admin area of Blesta, you'll need to update this command too. Hope this helps others out as well. If it works for others, maybe this link could be updated: https://docs.blesta.com/display/user/System+%3E+Automation Also, I don't want to add clutter but it may be helpful to have a link within Blesta's admin to point users to this documentation.1 point

Renew Services Before Thier End Date
kikloo reacted to Blesta Addons for a topic
Hello Tyson . I know that blesta is not supporting this . but I ask if we can find a custom way via plugin to generate invoice and attach it to a service to be renewed when it be paid . The first obstacle I found . when invoice is created and not paid the related service is suspended in the due date . So I think blesta should think for a solution to let client renew their service before renew date . is a mymust ha e option In the domain market specially . Some client want to renew domains for x years in advance. And is boring we renew and generate invoice and changing renew date in service . 3 Taches for admins + ticket or email by client .1 point -
Wen Transfering a Domain, it must show on the Invoice/Order/Details that is a "Domain Transfer", it may cause confuse to the client (it make me confuse not showing anywehere its a domain transfer). Possible fix, just add a new language variable (Transfer) to be added before the service name if its a transfer. For exemple, if the service is called "Domain .com" in the cart, order details and invoice, will show "Transfer Domain .com - mytestdomain.com (16/04/2014 - 16/04/2015)" To be better, Blesta Should separate complitly the "Services" and "Domains" because Domains dosent work the same way as services do.1 point
