10RUPTiV Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Don't know for all others place in the world but here in Quebec (Canada) , taxes changes often. We need to be able to set taxes rules with date period. Before last Jan 1st 2013, we calculate the taxes using "cascade" and also the % change a couple of time. Since Jan 1st we don't use anymore the "cascade" but % change again. And it will probably change again next January 2015.
Cody Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 If your taxes change each year all you have to do is update them on the 1st of the year (or whatever date they change). I could see it might be useful to create the tax rules in advance and have them automatically updated on the 1st of the year. In which case a plugin would be a good solution for people that need that. Once an invoice is created the tax rules that exist at that moment are applied to it and never change unless the invoice is updated.
