But what if it never sends it in the first place?

That's down to a setting or server issue.

Setting issues:

1) /settings/company/automation/ >  Provision Paid Pending Services: active

2) Cron job.

Server issues:

1) SMTP issue.

How can you re-send something that was never sent in the first place? It sounds like your request is to create a service email and then send it.

I believe he wants the ability to send a service activation or welcome email after the fact. This has been requested before, and I'm generally in favor of it. The question is whether there are any limitations in doing so after a service has already been activated.

Limitations may include:

  1. The data stored in Blesta for the service is now incomplete or incorrect. For instance, if the service has been edited, or the admin/client made changes to the service through the module directly, bypassing Blesta.
  2. Passwords won't be known, nor retrievable
  3. etc.

"Module email"? You mean the package welcome email? That is included in the Service Creation email template when a service is created, manually or otherwise. However, you can disable it from being sent manually by unchecking "Send order confirmation email" when creating an active service.

Hmm ok, that makes sense now.

I think that option should be renamed to "Send package welcome email" or similar.

It makes it seem like they will get an email saying

"Your order has been recieved, blablablabla, will be activated when payment is recieved, blablabla."
