Client And I Cannot Login Into Account

Question

Posted

Hello

I created a client account gave it a username (not an email address as the username) but I cannot login neither can the client, I am getting" No matches found for that user/password combination". When I log into Blesta and and go to the client account I see the username as admin and that is not the username I gave it.

However if I am in Blesta and use admin as the username I can login if I come out of Blesta and use admin I cannot login.

Really need help on this as the client cannot login.

Thank you in advance

I got it to work, it had numbers in the username, when I changed to only letters it worked. Shouldn't both numbers and letters work as a username?

Sounds like a improvement to the login. I've not tried numbers myself.

Well then really not sure why my installation is not taking it.

Strange. Any suggestions.

Thanks again.

Not sure it's weird, try another one on the client.

I find a lot of weird stuff happening, I am thinking of doing a full overwrite of the installation instead of just patching to upgrade, this would not affect my settings or client accounts?

Thanks

Shouldn't effect it but again.. Backup them just in case (aka mysql backup), file backup. I move them into a /backup folder and then do it. But ensure you keep your config file as it has the "encryption" key.

My guess is there was whitespace in the username somewhere, which you failed to enter during the login attempt. Blesta doesn't care if you use numbers, letters, symbols, or any combinations of those.
