as the title , add a option to allow admins to reorder the widget in the clients dashboard , that way we can order wich first and wich last from the widget available to clients .

I would really like to be able to remove some of the widgets . For example some customers to not want to show Invoices and Transactions. Any quick way to remove them on a company-by-company (talking add-on companies here) basis?

This is what we are planning to do regarding this:

New options under Settings > Company > Look & Feel

  • Show / hide / sort dashboard widgets
  • Opt to move individual dashboard widgets to their own page. For example, transactions widget could be moved to a new nav element called "Transactions".

This will allow staff to customize the look of the client area.

Thoughts or questions?

That sounds perfect!

What version might that make it into?

That's a good question -- I don't know. It is high on my personal priority list and the client area can benefit from some improvements.

the page will show all the available widget or just the default one ? one section can have more than 1 widget ?

the nav element will named transactions, invoices, services ? is better to move to a neutral names like section 1 , section 2, section 3 , section 4 ect ...

Currently all widgets are displayed on the dashboard. The idea is that you can set the sort order of the widgets (including plugin widgets), disable them, or have them appear on their own page instead. If they appear on their own page, the nav link would have the same name as the widget name. If it is assigned to its own page, the page would contain only that one widget.

in older version we have the ability to control at least  the widgets abnd orders via the file client_controller.php, now no option to do anything, the function getwidgets() was removed from client_controller and it appear has been added to app_controller.

what is the solution now ? after 5 years and no option to order or disable widget from admin side, and no control offered on the files !!!! great work
