Why Is Blesta Running 'createacct' With Whm On Pending Accounts?

Question

Posted

On our cPanel logs in Blesta, we are constantly seeing 'createacct' actions for unpaid, pending accounts.

Why is this happening?

Well, it obviously is doing it, because I just said it was.

Someone else please pipe in, thanks.

Edit: Wow, this is yet another nightmare related to that massively dangerous dysfunction bug. I can void invoices, but then blesta will keep trying to create the duplicate pending services. I cannot delete the duplicate pending services for fear it will also delete the active account in WHM. Just fantastic.

That's why you use either:

1. Cancel the pending order: Billing > Orders > tick the box and click cancel.

2. Delete the pending service from the services box and then void the invoice.. Blimey am I back at a school?

If the pending service is deleted, will Blesta try to delete it from WHM (as it does on the client side)?

Deleting a pending service deletes it within Blesta only, and does not make a module call to perform a cancel action. Whenever performing actions on a service, look for the "Use Module" option. If it exists, you can uncheck it to ensure that the action isn't made via the API. This does not exist for deleting pending services though, and will not delete the service on WHM/cPanel.

Thanks Paul - I confirmed this through testing as well. However, as stated in the other thread, on the front end, when a client cancels a pending service, it is sending a cancellation request to WHM. This is why I asked about the admin section.

Thanks, I created a task, CORE-2221 and linked it in the other thread. We'll take a look.
