Order Form Orders Will "complete" Order Minus Out Of Stock Items

Order forms will complete an order minus the out of stock items, without warning or notification in any useful way to the customer.

 

For those following my previous bug report about add-ons not being entirely useful and I switched to using a normal package instead, someone ordered an out of stock server and an IPv4 block, the IPv4 block package on the invoice went through, the server package did not; what should have happened is the customer should have been notified there are items out of stock on the order.

This is a known issue and something we're discussing internally, how best to handle an out of stock item.

is there any more information on this? I updated to 3.13 and If I have a package with Quantity of 0 It still displays on the prder form and can be purchased. Ive read through the forums about this and there is no clear answer?

 

I agree the out of stock Item should appear but marked as out of stock and not able to be added to the cart.

3.3.2 is the latest and I recommend you upgrade to it. I believe 0 quantities aren't displayed. If it is just make them inactive or restricted.

out of stock ;

appear in the list , but with "out of stock" status , can't be added to the cart , can't be ordered with direct link ( normally it should show a message when the system try to get the price for this item , like a modal box message .
