  1. We will definitely be building a KB, the problem is that we have a really big list of things to do and it's not ranking up there very high at the moment. It will most likely be released as an update to the "Support Manager" plugin, which is the current ticket system. This will allow us to do some cool things like recommend certain KB entries when a user is about to open a ticket by scanning their question against KB tags.

  2. I considered importing all the posts and accounts from vBulletin into IPB, but will probably archive it instead. There are too many abandoned and spam accounts, that I'd rather start fresh. That's why this is all under staging.blesta.com.

The beta forums on this board will be disabled when a beta is not in progress.

I know it seems a little weird, but a lot is changing.

  3. hmm, I'm not sure then.. Is the password the same as on file? I just tested it in our dev and it works for me. If you hover over the link, it looks like it just links to the ip:port but I think it may use javascript.

  4. The log in link should accomplish the same thing as the "Login to cPanel" button in the screenshots you posted. If it's not working, make sure you're running b3 as there was a bug fix related to this..

[CORE-495] - cPanel: Service "Login" links cause blank page due to improper encoding

I do want to do more with the cPanel management area, and including a button there for logins might be a more intuitive location.

  5. For a cPanel service, if you click the service row, it should expand down and display a table with 4 columns..

    Username, Password, Server, Options

In the Options section is a "Log in" link. This is the same for the client and staff interfaces.

EDIT: It sounds like you clicked the "Manage" link.. instead, click anywhere in the row.

  6. Title says it all. My main boot drive took a dump last week. Yesterday I had finally replaced it.

Sucks replacing a super fast $700 SSD with a smaller, kind of fast SSD.

What SSD did you have? A few months ago I bought this one for a new home computer, works amazing.. under $250 http://microcenter.com/product/402608/840_Pro_Series_MZ-7PD256BW_256GB_SATA_60Gb-s_25_Internal_Solid_State_Drive_(SSD) The Samsung 840 pro 256G, over 500MB/s read & write. Windows 7 boots in 2 to 3 seconds.

  7. I'm waiting then I'm going to import over to V2.5 from WH*** and then convert to v3 when the importer from 2.5 to v3 is ready.

The importer from WH*** to Blesta v3 will likely be more complete, but may not be ready right away. It's possible there will be something lost in translation going this route.. so just keep that in mind. If it gets everything you need, great!

  8. We wanted something that in itself did not really have any meaning, but which sounded uplifting. Think "blessed". We wanted to build a brand around a name that wouldn't be confused for anything else. Also, consider this..

    blesta

    ble sta

    sta ble

    stable

Color is used only for effect. When people think of Blesta, we want them to think about how stable it is.

  9. I'm pretty sure there is a login link that you can use when clicking the cpanel service row now, under both the staff and client interfaces. Clicking it should log you into the users cPanel assuming the password on file (encrypted in the database) is correct.

We will be adding additional functionality to the cPanel module over time.

  10. When you add a contact to a client, it must have an account type set. By default, there is a "Billing" type, but under Settings > Company > General > Contact Types you can add more.

The purpose is primarily internal use to identify certain contacts. For example, a primary support contact, or emergency contact. In the future, when we enable the ability for contacts to login, it may have an ACL attached to restrict their access within the client area.
