This bug is happening on v5.5.3
How to reproduce: Try creating a client, or mailing an already existing client through the panel and use an email that goes
support@test.hostor
support@hosting.test.com
Any attempt to do so, will throw you an error with an invalid E-Mail.
EDIT: Found out this is caused because the panel makes a DNS lookup first. I did not have MX records set for my domain. -
Hello,
I am running Blesta v5.5.3 on my server. I am running this Blesta installation under my domain which ends with .hostWhenever I try E-Mailing a client through the built-in interface, I get an error message that reads "Please enter a valid from address."
I included a screenshot below.
Is there any way to fix this on my own? Thank you for any help.
EDIT: I just tried creating a user with the same email, and it failed aswell. It seems that this issue affects the entire Blesta panel.
EDIT 2: Since this is a system wide issue, and I couldn't find a way to fix this myself, I have opened a similar post in the bugs section of the forum.
EDIT 3: Found out this is caused because the panel makes a DNS lookup first. I did not have MX records set for my domain.
The email failed to send due to a configuration issue.

Hello,
I have an issue where whenever I (or Blesta auttomation) want to send an E-Mail through the Blesta panel, I get an error saying:
The email failed to send due to a configuration issue.
When I looked into the logs, I found out, that it didn't send because of this error:
Expected response code 354 but got code "554", with message "554 5.5.1 Error: no valid recipients "
This error is unexpected, because the recipient addresses are indeed valid. They belong to test accounts and they are not receiving any of the mail.
I'm sending E-Mails through an unencrypted SMTP connection, and when I test the configurattion, it can connect.
I'm running Blesta 5.5.3
