Thanks Bit Bayou! I imagine there are just LOADS of us here! LOL
For what it's worth, I figured out my issue. For some reason I overlooked the docs on setting htaccess to true.
/lib/init.php file to set define("HTACCESS", true); Now, I have SEF URLS!
