  1. well at no point did I say that was the only issue I have ever had, and obviously it wasn't and you know that full well as you have seen and responded to my other issues as well.  and obviously this issue has nothing to do with any of the others or the usability or lack of docs or lack of setup guide,  those things are simply facts and nothing at all to do with me or my opinion one one product or another.

in order for your statement that I am the only one who has ever had any of my issues, you would have to have personally contacted every single Blesta user and got them to setup the exact same scenario as me with and test whether they have those issues ? did you do that ? No of course not, so not sure how you can make that claim then ?

I am thankful for your attempts to help, but i'm not sure why you now feel the need to have a dig at me just because I found a better solution that works ?

  2. thanks for everyone's efforts, but after months trying to get Blesta working properly, it is just taking up too much of my time so I decided to throw in the towel and switch to WHMCS.

I'm afraid I do not find Blesta  user friendly at all, I have found it very un-intuitive and overly complicated to do things which should be simple, the docs are incomplete and leave a lot to be desired, there is not even a setup guide, you just to figure everything out yourself, and it is just so hard to get it working, and you need to be a php developer to solve most of the issues.

I tried hard to get on with Blesta and to like it, but at the end of the  day it  took me just 1 evening to get WHMCS setup and everything is working perfectly. The setup is very straight forward, the configuration is fairly intuitive and obvious and the docs are very good. I managed to get it all done without having to resort to their forums or contacting support, plus it integrates with WebsitePanel, so I no longer have to manually provision anything.
  3. there is no credit, these are all new signups, and it is set to manual processing as per previous instructions.

And even if it wasn't, then surely activation  would b e happening automatically at the time of ordering, why would it wait until I view a service (simply clicking the service ID  link, taking no action taken whatsoever), and then set all other services for all other users/orders to get marked as active.

That just doesn't make any logical sense to me ?

  4. here are the steps of how it is done

    1.  remote desktop into the server
    2. right click on zip and choose extract all files
    3. select blesta folder as the destination
    4. files are extracted to the specified location
    5. you are prompted if you want to overwrite existing files
    6. you choose yes, and the process completes

    or

    1. open zip file
    2. select all contents
    3. press CTRL C
    4. open blesta folder
    5. CTRL V
    6. files are extracted to the specified location
    7. you are prompted if you want to overwrite existing files
    8. you choose yes, and the process completes

There are no errors and files fail to copy.

The commands you have suggested looks like Linux commands, so I would not be able to do that as this is a Windows server.

  5. ok I have tried upgrading as per the instructions here: http://docs.blesta.com/display/user/Upgrading+Blesta

it says "Upload the contents of the blesta directory to your server where you installed Blesta overwriting your existing files and point your web browser to ~/admin/upgrade"

That URL does not work, I just get a 404.

the usual URL I access the admin with is

    mysite.com/billing/index.php/admin

    so I go to

    mysite.com/billing/index.php/admin/upgrade

and I get this error below. So how do I do the upgrade ?

  6. I assume they are set to manual as per the advice I was given here to do that (by you two in fact), and the fact that nothing new gets activated and everything says pending whenever I login.

whether or not they have a paid invoice depends on if a payment has been made or not. If user completes the order process, then there is a paid invoice. If they do not complete then there is an unpaid invoice.

  7. I process all my pending orders/services manually, but I am having an issue that if I select any pending service, sometimes ALL of them are then set to active, even though I didn't do anything. This is a totally random occurence, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.

this is a major problem as it means I then have no idea which one's were pending and need processing, so I then have to go through them and work it out, PITA.

How can I fix this so that pending services do not get their status changed unless I actually change it.

  8. Re: You can still see the Acepted Orders, clicking in Billing->Overview->Accepted   :)  We hope Blesta adds the Widget on Blesta 3.3 Stable on Client Overview also to easy track ;)

Re: Maybe you are confusing things :)

Recurring Invoces only show if you manually create an Invoice with the option for "Recurring" payments.

Packages that you have created, and clients have purchase, are always "Recurring" (if you setup to not cancel), but they donot show on "Recurring Invoices" because its not an "Recurring Invoice", but an "Recurring Package" :P

A litle confusing but make sence ;)

ok thanks I understand now :-)

the order acceptance is still rather clunky though, would be much better to accept user and services at the same time.

  9. Yes its very confusing. Plese try this:

1- You have to first activate "Orders Widget" in Billing->Overview, and click on the left in "Manage Widgets" then activate the "Order" (by default the widget is not activated)

2- Now you will see all pending orders, you Have first to "acept" the order before anything helse.

    Hope that helps :)

Also I thinks this will be optimised on Blesta 3.3-b2 :)

yea but the problem is that if you accept the order first, it has now gone, so you have to do them one at a time, and REMEMBER each USERID, then go and find that user and go into his services and activate the service. Then come back to order summary and do the next one.

Unless I am missing something, It doesn't seem very intuitive, and seems to be very prone to mistakes if you are processing a lot of orders and did not take note of the userid you just approved.

  10. ok I managed to find the orders widget, was hidden.

Is there any way to accept both the order and the service at the same time ?

currently I have to accept the order, then switch to accepted, find that order, select it, select services and accept that.

still showing no recurring invoices though, which worries me.

  11. I am still struggling with this.

I am getting the email now when orders are placed, and in the email it says "Status: pending" but I cannot see where to go to review and accept pending  orders.

If I look under billing/services, or billing/transactions then pending is empty. I do have some showing "under review" for some reason.

If I  go into the userID mentioned in the email, I can see the transaction and invoice, but no service or order to accept.

I have also noticed on my summary page that it says "0" recurring invoices, even though all my packages are setup as yearly recurring, so I certainly should have some recurring invoice by now.
