  1. Thank you guys for your good words. I'm happy you like it. In fact, the very first work that we did was the static UI prototype with all the features that we're planning to get going. (at https://demo.virtkick.io/) I believe the UI part is most important as it's the first thing that users interact with. It's not possible to be user friendly without having a good UI. We haven't yet published the project roadmap because we're still not sure about the order in which things will get implemented. However, we posted a raw list of planned features in Feature Tour on VirtKick Twitter account. The first one is here, and there are ~30 tweets: https://twitter.com/virtkick/status/503937178523553792 Also, please have a look at the static HTML prototype of the end-customer panel. If you haven't yet. :-) https://demo.virtkick.io/ OpenNebula is an IaaS open source project that I like most at the moment. It's way easier to install, use and maintain than OpenStack. They did a good job. Still, OpenNebula is meant for managing the infrastructure, rather than be usable by VPS providers. All these tools focus on the underlying technology. That's why I started VirtKick. Right, we haven't prototyped the admin interface yet. We're now focusing on implementing end-user interface. I'll know more about admin panel prototype in 2 weeks (consider this an ETA for ETA for admin prototype ). Oh, and if anyone would like to help and draft something - that'll we cool! Take your pen, draw and share what you've got. :-) Surely it's meant to be multi-user and multi-server! In fact, what you see in the alpha is multi-user too. "Test it out button" creates a new user and force-logins you. It's single-server at this point for the sake of simplicity. We wanted to present something clickable as soon as possible. :-) Let me know if you have any questions. Closed beta testers are welcome, just sign up at https://www.virtkick.io/. Thanks! Damian
  2. A month ago I started developing VirtKick, a simple cloud management panel. Today the first hosted alpha is out! https://alpha.virtkick.io/ Check it out and let me know how you like it. If you'd like to participate in closed beta tests, be sure to sign up at www.virtkick.io.
  3. @nelsa, From all current open source projects I like OpenNebula most. Here's a copy-paste from our internal articles: Beta tests will begin in three weeks. Please just note it won't be production ready, so you probably want to continue testing OpenNebula. :-)
  4. I will consider it. Or rather, it will be users who will decide what's worked on first. :-)
  5. Thanks for your interest guys. It will be directly on the www.virtkick.io when I write the first blog post. We were focusing on prototyping and coding in the first place. Blog posts will follow when we have something real to show (namely: the beta). Hosted beta - the end of September User-installable beta - mid October Launch - January Please note that VirtKick will be usable for regular owners of dedicated servers - billing module is optional. Without a billing module it's a nice looking, user focused cloud admin panel (compared to admin focused Proxmox or OpenStack). The beta won't have the billing module anyway - we aim to gather feedback from the user point of view. Thanks.
  6. Hey, I'm looking for people who'd want to participate in upcoming beta tests of VirtKick cloud panel this month. If you are interested, please sign up at www.virtkick.io. With VirtKick you'll be able to manage your own cloud or, most importantly for you, run a VPS business. VirtKick will have a built-in billing and helpdesk module, but I'm planning to integrate with Blesta too. Here's the demo: demo.virtkick.io Let me know if you'd want to know anything about the project. I will happily answer. :-) Thanks.
