Thank you guys for your good words. I'm happy you like it. In fact, the very first work that we did was the static UI prototype with all the features that we're planning to get going. (at https://demo.virtkick.io/) I believe the UI part is most important as it's the first thing that users interact with. It's not possible to be user friendly without having a good UI.
We haven't yet published the project roadmap because we're still not sure about the order in which things will get implemented. However, we posted a raw list of planned features in Feature Tour on VirtKick Twitter account. The first one is here, and there are ~30 tweets: https://twitter.com/virtkick/status/503937178523553792
Also, please have a look at the static HTML prototype of the end-customer panel. If you haven't yet. :-) https://demo.virtkick.io/
OpenNebula is an IaaS open source project that I like most at the moment. It's way easier to install, use and maintain than OpenStack. They did a good job. Still, OpenNebula is meant for managing the infrastructure, rather than be usable by VPS providers. All these tools focus on the underlying technology. That's why I started VirtKick.
Right, we haven't prototyped the admin interface yet. We're now focusing on implementing end-user interface. I'll know more about admin panel prototype in 2 weeks (consider this an ETA for ETA for admin prototype ).
Oh, and if anyone would like to help and draft something - that'll we cool! Take your pen, draw and share what you've got. :-)
Surely it's meant to be multi-user and multi-server!
In fact, what you see in the alpha is multi-user too. "Test it out button" creates a new user and force-logins you.
It's single-server at this point for the sake of simplicity. We wanted to present something clickable as soon as possible. :-)
Let me know if you have any questions.
Closed beta testers are welcome, just sign up at https://www.virtkick.io/. Thanks!
