  1. I just installed the new v4 for a test run. Very nice. And I forgot I already purchased an unbranded copy back in 2013 that has been sitting in my account unused. Paul it says never expire in the account, but when installed the admin panel tells me I do not get updates or support. Was the $300 purchase back in 2013 for lifetime unbranded? or just unbranded without support as you sell now for 300? For who wants to know, Blesta 2.5.4 has been working fine on PHP 5.6 for me, but there are many functions I don't use, so its not definitive.
  2. This was created in 2009/2010. Lasting 8 years without issues is pretty good. But from memory there was a major change going from Blesta v2 to v3 that broke all compatibility with custom modules, so I never updated and have been on v2 ever since. I'm not sure what that change was....
  3. I still have a legacy version of Blesta 2.5.4 because it runs a custom module (developed by Blesta/Philips Data). This module connects with an external API for account authentication, using https. Now that TLS 1.0 support is being dropped by most web hosts, I'm not sure if this version of Blesta and my module will keep working. Is there anyway to know if my custom module communicates via the older TLS 1.0 protocol?
  4. I am moving a Blesta 2.5.4 installation over to a new server. All files will be the same but the SQL database name will change. I'm not sure what system files need to be modified for Blesta to look for the new SQL database and password.
  5. It worked perfectly. I just deleted all files, uploaded the new ones and replaced config like you said (and replaced cronjob too, because somewhere between 2.2 and 2.3 compatibility was broken on this file for those upgrading from earlier Blesta). The Ioncube version seems 3 times as fast as the SG.
  6. Thanks for the help, one last question, for this 'sideways-grade', are we supposed to run the upgrade script?
  7. When you say overwrite files, do you mean public_html as well, or just the ioncube and cron directories that are behind the html root....
  8. There is plenty of guides for Blesta as far as upgrades go, but I have a different question. I am running 2.5.4 on a server that has php v 5.2. but my host is now forced upgrading the server to php 5.4 This means I will need the 'other' source guardian version of Blesta. for php 5.3+ My question is, what do I do here? Do I just copy some files across and this updates the Source Guardian installation? Or is there a more major difference between them? Jeez why did I not just choose ioncube to begin with.
