They both check out ok and say Success anywhere else I can check as there have been no emails and the puchase can't be downloaded

Ah found it. After the upgrade you need to go into staff >> administrators and tick permissions for the knowledge base then it shows up under support

I edited structure.pdt and added a header, some links etc and added a footer But I can't keep the footer at the very bottom of the page.
