Check the gateway logs under [Tools] -> [Logs] for a response from the gateway. There could be an error or no response from PayPal, which ends up not marking the invoice paid.

 

Also, if you're running Blesta on a machine (like your personal computer) that is not accessible from the Internet, PayPal can't send Blesta a response.

sorry should have mentioned I have checked the logs already and the transactions show up as SUCCESS.

This is not a local machine, it is a public website.

It seems to just be a problem with the sandbox, I switched to live mode and everything went through.
