    What happens if I have a license DigitalOcean Module - Owned, your site (modulesbakery.com) will stop working. What about the key?

     

    - I am not asking for an access to your DB, i will just give you the name of the table cells you need to edit, but i will not post them here publicly.

    4.How to add existing Cloud?

     

    1. For the snapshots, the html markup was missing. 2. RAM:

    you may want to download the module files again

     

    3. Statistics, do you mean like droplet usage and so? if yes, this feature is not available in the DigitalOcean API

    4. As for how to add an existing cloud, please submit a support ticket for that, you will need to edit some things on your DB's tables, so it might be a better idea to show you how privately.

    Hello Guys,

    I have recently received many requests/suggestions to create different modules from Blesta users, and that makes it harder for me to figure out what module users demand the most, therefore, i am creating this poll in the Blesta forums so more users can see it and give us their votes and opinions.

     

    Notes:

    1- Hopefully Paul does not mind such threads.

    2- We will release a new version of our Tasty cPanel Module with more great features very soon.

    3- Enhanced InterWorx Module are done already and will be released soon.

     

    Please feel free to suggest more modules/plugins ;), waiting for your votes.

    Available Images = 0 , module does not show all images. centos, ubuntu, etc. = main problem

    There is no problem with the configuration. The problem is the module. Module for W.....S works great - also only requires an API key. For me it does not work. $ 69 is not a lot of money. But I prefer to pay when something meets the expected features.

     

    For me the module is not ready for use. It is not fun sitting on the forum and look for solutions. This is a business not a game.

     

     

    - As i told you, if you need any help i am always available for help, just open a ticket.

     

    - I cannot and don't want to use unofficial PHP classes made by third parties, i have created my own class for API integration.

     

    - If there is a problem with the module then why not opening a support ticket and let me take a closer look at the problem, if it is confirmed as a bug, we will get it solved.

     

    - This is also a serious business for me and not a game, i have offered and still offering my help with pleasure, if there is a bug that we have unintentionally overlooked it, i will do my best to fix it as soon as possible.

    Some remarks:

    1.Available Images = 0 , module does not show all images. centos, ubuntu, etc.

    2.Welcome Email - very modest, little options.

    3.There is no choice - SSH Public Key / Password

    4.Admin Add Service - Available Regions = 0 , Available Images = 0

    5.The encoded file API?

     
    For me, the module is not ready for use

     

     

     

    - I have double checked our development installation and available Images does show all images that can be retrieved through the API, please open a support ticket with more details to see what the issue might be.

     

    - Some images on DigitalOcean requires SSH key only and no password, so the ability to choose between SSH Key or password if the choice is available from DigitalOcean is not included with the first version of the module, however, might be included with future versions.

     

    - There is no ready made PHP class for API integration with digitalocean like cPanel XML API for example, so that file includes API integration that has been developed by us, therefore, it is considered as a part of our module which should be encoded.

  23. Cpanel Module (Enhanced Integration)

    @ninja, i created a WHMCS hook for it using the PHP cPanel API but, thats not the best way to handle that. The cPanel JSON is the better way but, not that good of a coder, more of a good sales guy ;)

     

    @modulesbakery, hopefully I explained it. I can name a lot of hosting companies that do this. They seem to have coded something up internally and don't share. 

     

    Here is how other hosting companies handle it.

    Others just use the cPanel temp URL which has a lot of security implications because those bypass bandwidth accounting and you can hide phishing links when accounting is bypassed making them hard to spot.

    OVH has a lot of products , Domains, Servers , Hosting , Vps , SMS , ...ect . all are managed from thier powerfull API plateforme .

    ovh servers, and domains is the most wanted modules in internet from ovh client's .

  25. Cpanel Module (Enhanced Integration)

    @Alpha.. sure..

     

    When you setup a new cPanel account (hosting) (with Apache - standard config), sometimes the client purchases and domain from us so they can see their website shortly after the account setup in cPanel.

     

    When someone purchases a domain from Godaddy and wants to keep an old site live until the new one is ready to show, they will purchase hosting from us and start development. When this new account gets setup on our server with the old site and domain running on say godaddy, there is no way to FTP or view the development site from our server unless you use an IP address or enable the Apache mod_userdir.

     

    So, what we do is create a development domain for them. We have several domains on our server that belong to us. So, we will use their cpanel account name prefixed to one of our development URL's so they have a URL that works instead of an IP (a temporary development URL).

     

    So, if Joe's Hardware purchased an account, the cpanel account would be something like joeshard .  What we do is create a parked domain via WHM on top of their account and it looks like this - joeshard.webjiveclient.com

     

    Then the client can use joeshard.webjiveclient.com/index.php, etc. to see their WP or Joomla website. 

     

    What's needed (and we have talked to modules garden about this, and they are going to build one for WHMCS) is a module that creates these types of parked domains when an account is created. There needs to be a setting in the products setup (checkbox) so that it can be enabled per product because some services might not require a temporary domain. 

     

    Does this make sense?

     

    Avoiding Apache mod_userdir also keeps users from getting around bandwidth tracking which is why we don't use it.

     

    Or am I over-complicatign this and there is an easier way to give someone a temporary domain without having to create parked domains?

     

    Thank you for your suggestion, I will consider adding such feature.
