Chris
I'm having a heck of time with getting the cron to run properly. I know the cron jobs are working cause I did get this email error X-Powered-By: PHP/5.4.25 Content-type: text/html <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en-us" lang="en-us" dir="ltr"> <head> <title>Blesta</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/app/views/errors/css/styles.css" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> </head> <body> <div class="program_error"> <h3>Oh noes!</h3> <div class="contents"> <p>Undefined variable: argv on line <strong>24</strong> in <strong>/home/a5d8w7s6/public_html/clients/index.php</strong></p> </div> </div> </body> </html>
0 Chris
After I spent few days playing around with this I figured out how to solve this issue.. I'd had cloudlinux on ths vps so I looked in the root.. So I did the following nano /opt/alt/php54/etc/php.ini (I enabled it register_argc_argv = on) cagefsctl --rebuild-alt-php-ini (rebuilt) Michael and xbthost
0 Michael
That's weird mate, not spotted that one before. Hopefully the guys can track it down for you.
0 Paul
This is because register_argc_argv is disabled in your php.ini file for CLI. See http://us1.php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.register-argc-argv If you enable it, I believe it will correct this issue. 0 technologist
Hi there, If we can't set register_argc_argv for PHP CLI, is there an alternative for running the cron job? Jez.

Jez. You can use wget, GET, lynx, or another web-based method for your cron. See https://docs.blesta.com/display/user/Installing+Blesta#InstallingBlesta-4.SetupaCronJob There is a wget example, you'll just need the cron key shown under Settings > System > Automation. Using wget would be similar to running the cron manually in your browser, so if that works then this will work for you.
0 technologist
Thanks, WGET worked Jeremy. Paul
