Upgrading Blesta 5.8.2 -> 5.8.3 error : SourceGuardian error

nboy

Question

Was running blesta 5.8.2 and now trying to apply blesta security update 5.8.3

Here is the error(using DirectAdmin cp) :

Quote

PHP script '../public_html/app/app_controller.php' is protected by SourceGuardian and requires a SourceGuardian loader 'ixed.7.4.lin' to be installed.

1) Click here to download the required 'ixed.7.4.lin' loader from the SourceGuardian site
2) Install the loader to /usr/local/php74/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20190902
3) Edit /usr/local/php74/lib/php.ini and add 'extension=ixed.7.4.lin' directive
4) Restart the web server

I installed source guardian for php on DirectAdmin and still the same above error is being displayed on all pages.

Quote

#php -m | grep Source
SourceGuardian

please help.

I just upgraded our PHP version to 8.1 and getting the same error message on 5.4.0 after applying the hotfix - blank white screen prior to installing hotfix:

PHP script '/home/xxxx/xxxx/public_html/app/app_model.php' is protected by SourceGuardian and requires a SourceGuardian loader 'ixed.8.1.lin' to be installed.

1) Click here to download the required 'ixed.8.1.lin' loader from the SourceGuardian site
2) Install the loader to /usr/lib/php/20210902
3) Edit /etc/php/8.1/fpm/php.ini and add 'extension=ixed.8.1.lin' directive
4) Restart the web server

Looks like I will have to downgrade... ugh

If your upgrading and have ioncube, you do not need to apply the hotfix, it is for sourceguardian only

Our host installed the Source Guardian loader and our app is back to working now. Thought that version 5.4.0 wouldn't need a hotfix but here we are.

The hotfix directory included with Blesta is only for users that do not have the Ioncube PHP extension, but SourceGuardian instead. Official files support PHP 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 8.1, 8.2 with Ioncube, at least as of Blesta 5.9.

Since I have Ioncube installed and blesta 5.8.2 is working fine, there is no need to update to 5.8.3 security update?

You MUST update to 5.8.3 if you are running 5.8.2, or you are not protected. Apply the patch (blesta-5.8.0-5.8.3), ignore "hotfix" directories. Backup everything first.
