WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from SW Hosting in Configuring The Order Form For Domains & Hosting
again i do like the idea of hiding the full path as this is a potential clue to hackers etc... but with a little htaccess modding etc we can hide the full path

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from ariq01 in Any Feedback On Serverpilot.io Control Panel
I think this idea would be a good thing to add into Blesta... A server management page where we can keep an eye on all our servers... not full on monitoring but load, disk etc
That way Blesta turns into an all in one
Does that make sense?

A plugin could do this, with built in support with the common modules, cPanel, Interworx, DA, Plesk, etc., at least for central management/overview. However, load/disk/etc monitoring would be best done with something like Zabbix, and that data could be pulled into Blesta for display.

WebHostCentral UK - Dean reacted to Paul in Trouble With Ticket Import Via Pop3
Download tickets won't try again until it's no longer hung or it's been 6 hours. If it's disabled though, it won't try to run.
My suggestion is to enable error reporting in your config file, disable your automatic cron, and then run the cron manually. If there are errors, it would spit them out and hopefully give you more information about the issue.
1. To enable error reporting, edit /config/blesta.php and change
Configure::errorReporting(0); to Configure::errorReporting(-1); 2. Disable your cron 3. Run the cron manually under Settings > System > Automation. -

In addition to what Paul said, you could check if you do not have old unfinished cron tasks, as if there are, they could froze your cron task
it's SQL query to run on your blesta database
found if there is unfinished cron task:
---------------------------------------------------------
SELECT * FROM `log_cron` WHERE `run_id` !=0 AND `end_date` IS NULL ORDER BY `start_date` DESC;
if there is, delete unfinished task:
-------------------------------------------------------
DELETE FROM `log_cron` WHERE `run_id` !=0 AND `end_date` IS NULL ORDER BY `start_date` DESC;
And after that run cron manually from blesta interface
------------------------------------------

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from serge in Does Paypal Create A Payment Account In The Client's Account?
It made me think the first time i saw it and i know what im doing.. but from a customer point of view it needs to be made very simple... and the current way at the moment is it is not very customer friendly...
Also not every hosting company has a merchant account, PayPal only.. from my experience Blesta looks as if it focuses on Merchant accounts..
Again easiest way around this would be to list all payment options (that are enabled in backend) in one list

WebHostCentral UK - Dean reacted to Paul in Why Is Blesta Called Blesta?
Actually, that about sums it up. (Check out that happy face in our logo) Though I originally came across the name "Blesta" using a random word generator.
We wanted a unique name that we could build a brand around. blesta.com was available when I came across the name and it went on my short list. A few days later I went to register the domain and it was taken . I went through hundreds of more names and didn't like any of them, and for a kick I did a whois on blesta.com again. It was available! Someone bought the domain, and then returned it during the grace period. I had never seen that happen before or since. It was meant to be!

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from Darin in Does Paypal Create A Payment Account In The Client's Account?
I agree it should be removed from customer view if disabled.. What i would impose also is instead of separating merchant and non merchant just having a list of available options
My customers find the current way a little confusing

WebHostCentral UK - Dean reacted to Michael in Trial Service That Can Convert To Paid Service
Don't think it can automatically do it unless you did a coupon for a one time and make a tier for 2 months.
I would do this.
Make a package group, with two packages.
1. Free package (cancel at end of term)
2. Paid package.
That way customers use the free package and then can upgrade to the paid version. They will get invoiced for it and activated after payment.

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from Michael in Blesta Error
I would look for another host that does not block this kind of thing. Out of curiosity have you used other billing software? how long have you been with them?
i got a feeling that mike is right about them suspending outgoing traffic but that is no way to run a hosting company
Anyways if you need any help with anything let me know

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from Michael in Import From Whmcs
i would suggest delete the cron for Blesta - do the import then make sure everything is fine before you set up the cron on Blesta
Last thing you wont is random emails or invoices etc being sent to customers
When we did the import we made sure everything was spot on before enabling the cron

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from Michael in Blesta Error
What was you doing to get this error out of curiosity?
The more information we have the better we can diagnose.. But like Mike said your host should not be blocking outgoing connections..
To block outgoing connections means any licensed software.. API calls etc would be blocked leading to your hosting being pretty much information based and not interactive

WebHostCentral UK - Dean got a reaction from Michael in Any Ideas Guys
Yes the API needs resetting.. I have different keys for different things. i.e
Outlook - 1 key
Blesta - 1 key
Smartphone - 1 key
That way it helps identify where the mail is going out from etc and authentication issues
-
WebHostCentral UK - Dean reacted to Paul in Any Ideas Guys
We made the decision to use mailparse because it solves a lot of issues with working with email messages that other implementations skim over.
The email issue seems server related. If it works on your dev server, but not your live server it's hard to label it a bug in the software. These kinds of issues usually turn out to be something silly that was overlooked.

Never had a problem with blesta support. these guys are always here to help and don't just fob you off.
This is one of the friendliest forums i have used. Usually it's a user problem not the software.

Sorry Pal leeds is in west yorkshire, Not west yorkshire is in leeds.... bit like saying london is a state of tottenham
I have had to manually add this into the database.. I do think this needs looking at for UK customers....
That list also needs updating
