Why are we still talking about this? As I've already said, it's in the works. CORE-1085.

and nevermind, looks like something just went wrong with soap during installing it.  phpinfo said it was installed and enabled, but I just installed it again to test and it's working fine now...

I'm more concerned with the fact that they're telling you all that it's not secure but a loop hole. It's not PCI compliance but rather avoidance.
As a business owner/manager and credit card merchant your primary goal should be keeping customer data secure.
Stripe has multiple methods for integration. Why would anyone just assume it's using stripe.js?
I really don't see the big deal with documenting it to make everyone happy, it seems simple enough, but I also don't get the witch hunt here.
If you didn't know before, you know now.

Just because I was bored and it looks great except a few text shadow on the client side and a border on the header content boxes which can be fixed with the new css boxes coming in 3.3 or 3.4.

You say that but they bought HostGator, destroyed that reputation, they bought BlueHost, well you can just search BlueHost+Downtime to find out that story. I could continue but every company EIG has bought has been screwed over because they are just made of money. Not hosting industry knowledge.

    From that site:

Stripe.js is not used, nor is Checkout.
The payment information is not transmitted directly to Stripe's servers, but it is transmitted indirectly to them through your servers instead.

This has the consequence that your servers are the ones needing quarterly security testing.
And you need to be able to answer "yes" to at least all the questions on: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/documents/pci_saq_c_v2.doc
(and if you take the definition of "storing card holder data" literally these: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/documents/pci_saq_d_v2.doc )

Note that if you are processing a low number of transactions, compliance validation is not required, meaning your credit card processor is not required to ask you to submit proof that you actually did the testing or completed the SAQ.
You still have to be in compliance though, meaning you can get into trouble if there is an incident, and it turns out you "forgot" to do them.

So, I'm working on a few themes, and during this process have realized that using the built in theme editor...there are quite a few areas that are not controlled by the options (for the client theme at least...haven't started the admin side of it).

I have created a theme that is supposed to be dark, all of the options that are available are set to dark colors.

Here is the result.  I've circled the areas in red that do not have a setting to control them via Settings > Company > Look and Feel > Styles

As you can tell..it's impossible to get a completely dark theme using just the built in editor...because none of the circle areas can be edited with it.

Would be nice if options to control these areas could be added.

There will be a box to enter custom CSS in the future, which can be used to overwrite any styles.

Good points, electric. You've highlighted exactly why we've designed Blesta to be so modular and customizable.
Of course, I'm always surprised when people say Blesta is basic or simple, or otherwise lacking in features when compared to some other systems. It makes me smile, knowing we did a good job with not overwhelming the user. But it also means we may not be conveying all of the features of Blesta to users that are used to systems that have cut corners.
Take for example service terms. Most systems support one time, monthly, bimonthly, annually, and biannually. Blesta supports hundreds of thousands of possible terms!
Other systems supporting only email delivery of invoices. Blesta supports email, fax, and postal mail (yes, invoices that actually fit into double-windowed envelopes and can be printed through Blesta or mailed directly from Blesta)
Other systems have a basic API that was added as an after thought. Blesta's API automatically grows with every release, and with every plugin installed.
    Multi-company,... the list goes on.
While I can definitely see how someone used to another system might notice some things currently unavailable, the net result is Blesta is more featureful overall; and growing daily.

Daniel B reacted to Michael in Benefits Buying Directly?
    Hello Mike,

When you buy direct from Blesta you get:
Direct Ticket & Phone support Development license in a closed environment Community Forum support with the community and developers Beta Access (3.x.x+) Re-issue from your account control panel. When you buy from a Distributor or from your reseller / hosting provider you get:
Support from the license provider (Which distributor you choose has different experiences) Community Forum support with the community and developers Beta Access from certain distributors (Not all will provide beta files, myself I asked Paul back in 3.1.x if we can provide them to a client, and have done since). Re-issue from your account control panel (Depends per provider if they have a module for Blesta's API).
Good luck with whom you choose and I'll see you around the forums if you have any other questions feel free to post them here and we'll try and help you.
