domaingood reacted to Blesta Addons in Terminate Suspended Services
the things should be like this i think
1 - add option in company setting to enable/disable auto cancel suspended service that are not paid ( should not confuse with suspended service for other reasons )
2 - add option to set how mush days after suspension should the service be canceled .
3 - add new email template for notify users about thier service will canceled after X days if not paid (like the overdue invoice and suspension notice)
4 - before 1 or 2 days from canceling add new status to the service "pending delete" , whith this we can know wich service will be deleted ( this feature is optional)
5- the best of the best , if we can make modules register it own days to cancel services , for exemple, domain (com/net) should be canceled from client side after 45 days i think , cpanel we can make it at 10 days , that depend with the module itself , if no days are set , use the default one .

For order notifications, go to Billing, then click the cog/gear icon in the order widget window. If the Orders widget doesn't appear here, then you need to install the widget. Click Manage Widgets on the left, and drag it from the right to the left side to add it.

domaingood reacted to Michael in What Is Stopping You Switching To Blesta?
To help the Blesta developers know what is stopping you and help them put priority ideas at the top. I've been threw the feature request forum below to find the requests you can all vote for, I have missed some sorry but select other and post here. You can tick as many as you need, current customers can vote on what they would like to see.
All votes are private so no-one will know what you voted so people don't know you voted this and that etc. Thank you.

domaingood reacted to Paul in Blesta Vs Whmcs
The bottom line is that there's no 1 software option that's best for everyone. Blesta has a ways to go before it will support all the same gateways and modules as our competitors, and we prioritize development based on demand. WHMCS has had the advantage, a large customer base and plenty of revenue. Yet, they have gone years now without adding any significant new features. Virtually all of their new features and integrations are sold by Modules Garden, a third party developer who was offered an exclusive deal in order to limit competition in the market. The fact is, WHMCS is in damage control and has been for a long time now.
As for Blesta: One release at a time. Out of all the products available, Blesta is the best written, the most stable, and has the best track record on security. That's a solid foundation we continue to build on, and we have a lot of great things planned for the future.

Agreed Naja7host mate,
WHM**: Launched 1.0.0 in 2005 and built on it, each version's modules are passed onto what it is today. When WHM** 6.x comes out in PDO format (Re-write) they are going to be in the same situation because every single module will need to be re-written in PDO to be compatible with their new requirement... Oh well haha win some loose some.
HostBill: Launched 1.0.0 in 2008 and has a bad business model changing prices every week when they feel like it to hit the $4,999.96 price mark for everything included in it. They charge a high price per ticket as-well and doesn't have a community with the developers.
ClientExec: Launched 1.0.0 in 2002 and built on it in every version. Still doesn't have everything either.
Blesta: Opened in 2007, built on 1.x up-to 2.5 and then decided to re-write Blesta from the bottom up again this time making it modular so you only install want you want and need. It's now 99% opened and has a strong API for any developer to make it (Remember people need to live). Blesta 3 is modern, secure (Still), opened and still growing slowly, not too rapid to loose focus on the main focus "Secure & expandable billing system". - My own words.
Blesta 3.0.0 went Beta only on August 2013, a year today and it's grown a lot and the community is bigger.

Already clears logs on a monthly basis. You set it here: Settings > System > General > Rotation Policy (That empties the logs)

domaingood reacted to flangefrog in Apply Payments Calculator
I made this mod in response to another thread but I figured it would be best to cross post it here. If that's not allowed then please remove this thread.
When you add a payment manually, it will automatically apply the payment to the invoices, oldest first. It will check any invoices with an amount above zero.
E.g. if the client has three invoices - $30 and $10, and $20 and paid $37, $30 will be paid to the first invoice and $7 to the second. The third invoice will be unpaid.
Note: this doesn't actually add any real functionality to Blesta, it will just make it easier to apply the payments without having to work out manually how much to apply to each invoice.
/app/views/admin/default/admin_clients_recordpayment.pdt
After line 79
$(document).ready(function() { add:
$("#amount").change(function() { amountRemaining = Math.max($(this).val(), 0); if (!isNaN(amountRemaining)) { $("#invoices_to_pay").find("tr").not(".heading_row").each(function() { checkBoxElement = $(this).find("input[name^=\'invoice_id\']"); applyAmountElement = $(this).find("input[name^=\'applyamount\']"); amountDueElement = applyAmountElement.parent().next(); amountDue = Number(amountDueElement.text().substr(1).replace(/[^0-9\.]+/g, "")); applyAmount = Math.min(amountRemaining, amountDue); amountRemaining = (amountRemaining - applyAmount).toFixed(2); applyAmountElement.val(applyAmount); checkBoxElement.prop("checked", applyAmount > 0); if (!amountRemaining) return false; }); } }); If you want the calc to run while typing, change line 80 to:
$("#amount").on("input",function() { Just be aware that this is unsupported or buggy on older browsers.

Looks like a nice RESTful API, do you know when the beta will end? To be honest, I'm not sure we would consider doing an official module until the API is out of beta.

domaingood reacted to PauloV in Iblesta Like Iwhmcs
I have for some time to now an ideia for an APP for Windows Mobile, Android and IOS(Mac/IPhone/IPad) and its really very simple (after we buil an mobile theme for Blesta lol).
Every APP (not games) is almost written in Javascript + HTML5 + CSS + XML (sometimes php + sql) with remote commands to a server
A great exemple that we use is this APP: Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.hetzner.robot_mobile IOS: https://itunes.apple.com/pt/app/robot-mobile/id482005451?mt=8 This app only call a remote webpage in here: https://robot-mobile.your-server.de/ We can easelly build an APP for each plataform using for exemple: http://unity3d.com/ (best of the best on deploying easy and fast cross plataform applications and also games) http://www.appcelerator.com/ (Also a great and free plataform, but it is more dificult to deploy a cross plataform) http://phonegap.com/ (Anoiuther great plataform to build cross plataform mobile APP's) Now the biggest challanging is Time (we dont have time now eheh ) -
domaingood reacted to PauloV in Best Responsive Framework?
Hello Blestars
We will start a new project for one client and we want to use the the best responsive framework to be compatible with the major browsers versions (IE8 +, CG, FF, Safari) and also multiplataform Desktop/Tablet/Mobile screens with some "Touch" UI wen in Mobile Mode
We have reduced to this 2 frameworks, but maybe there are better ones that we dont know about it
Foundation V5 - http://foundation.zurb.com/
Bootstrap V3 - http://getbootstrap.com/
We think Foundation is better (Love how tables work), but we are not 100% sure
We appreciate some feedback to help us out
Thanks in advance,
PV

domaingood reacted to Paul in Ideas About Server Status Plugin
I'm picturing colored statuses for each service that's being monitored in the client area or front facing page.
<span class="label label-success">OK</span>
<span class="label label-warning">Warning</span>
<span class="label label-danger">Critical</span>
Edit: I would also suggest caching the results for a period of time so that a lot of traffic won't cause a lot of requests. This could otherwise be used to cause a sort of dos attack. On page load, check cache. If cache is expired, query servers. If cache is not expired, serve from cache. Keep the cache for a minute or so.

domaingood reacted to Tyson in Blesta Recording Payment Or Applying Credit
As Licensecart mentioned, you can apply credits to specific invoices in v3.3, but a v3.2 install can only allow credits to be applied automatically. However, automatically applying credits will apply it to the oldest invoice first, which may not be the invoice you want it to apply to.
When you recorded the payment manually, how come you didn't select which invoice to apply it to at that point? That would have been the best solution.
-
domaingood reacted to Michael in Blesta Recording Payment Or Applying Credit
credit can be automatically applied if you enable the feature:
Settings > Billing / Payment > Invoice & Charge Options > Check box: Automatically Apply Loose Credits
In 3.3.x you can allow the client to apply credit to the invoice by un-checking that box and they can check a box themselves on their payment page.
Credit will be applied with the cron if enabled.
