What is "real world" purpose of setting up " Contact Types " ?

turner2f

Question

We went to https://docs.blesta.com/display/user/Company+>+General

And we completely do not understand what the "real world " purpose is for this "Contact types" section .

1) - Can you please give an example concerning the benefit(s) of setting up these " Contact Types " found at  Settings - - > General - - > Contact Types

2) - And how are we as the "Admin" connected / interactive with them ?

3) - We are under the impression that all the necessary contact are  setup  under the "My Info", "Manage Staff" and "Staff Groups"

You can set Contact types like .. Techincal support  ,Sales,Billing,Mobile,Fixed,Home,Work....etc ..than when user want to create contact and click on Contact tab from client area He/She can select contact type He/She want to add/create

This option is for user contact type not staff,but you can define which contact type user can create.

Thanks for the reply Nelsa.

Can you please supply a screenshot of  this "Contact" tab ?

We do not see it .

======

Is there something more that we have to activate or setup besides ( "contact types " ) within the Admin panel ?
