There is a known issue with installation on PHP 7 that we're looking at for a resolution in beta 2. You may be able to install on PHP 5.6, move your install to PHP 7 and do further testing. There may be other issues.

It's out, we are in the process of updating the blog and other social media. 
 

this thread to talk about the new technical features. in v3 init.php has the majority of defined VARS used in the system , in V4 and namespacing  some aspect has been changed . now the bridge is defining the constants used in blesta, this was a great idea and options, as all now defined outside the init.php . and in a quick view of the php files i see the bridge is returning a defined constants that is used in blesta system .
my question : is possible to add our own defined constant in the bridge or via any other class in V4 to use it in blesta system ?
if no .
we should hack the bridge.php to add our own Constant ? is any option to see new function in bridge.php or blesta core  that allow add our own constant without touching core files ?
also minphp in github is updated to the latest version of minphp ? i still see minphp 1.0 has the older files . 
 

Change error reporting to -1 .
Create ticket or reply to a ticket the error will appear .
No change made in core files .

I would like to know where I can buy extra hours per day.. or maybe some magic pills that make it so you don't have to sleep. 
Hopefully you don't have to change anything in your plugins. But, if they use buttons or icons you may want to to make them consistent.

Everything, really, since essentially everything has been updated. i.e.
submit every form with good and bad data perform every action (including those in extensions) check for anything out of the ordinary like blank white pages, or pages with errors upgrade from version 3 to 4 create a new installation of v4 perform migrations from v2.5/whmcs to v4 check for obvious (or not so obvious) page styling issues see if anything comes across confusing that you think can be improved ensure current functionality still works try out the Mass Mailer plugin A dev system would be perfect, but where would you be importing data from? Not real data from a production environment, correct?
Sometimes people insist to me that they want to test changes in a dev environment where the data mirrors what is on the production server. It sounds like a simple and convenient way to test what is and what will be, for comparison. They'll just disable emails from being sent and disable payments from going through in order to be sure real customers do not receive emails or get charged from the dev environment while they are testing it. However, this is a horrible, horrible, horrible idea for numerous reasons. Not only does it limit what you can test (e.g. can't test sending emails or making payments), but bugs may exist that send emails, make payments, etc., even when disabled. All data in a test/dev environment must be test data. I hope that's the intent of everyone that will be trying out the beta.

Warming up the beta forums. We've scheduled Beta 1 to start next Thursday, September 15th. We've had quite a few issues pop up with regard to the minPHP upgrade, and we're really close to having those all resolved. That's not to say we've caught everything. Being a major release, please consider 4.0 beta 1 more of an alpha, and do not under any circumstances run it in production.

Cool custom fields on CORE  I have alredy added Custom Fields to my Support Manager Pro mod, has you can see I use arrays to store fields and data on each ticket ,and on Admin/Manage we just set all fields, I was thinking on adding a more rich interface, but I will wait until CORE-450 to start from there eheh 
For the tickets encryption, I have made some benchmarks and its slow on a DB with more then 100k tickets(replies)  even with cache/ssd/mysql optimised maybe I will add 2 options:
Option 1- encrypt (per ticket) it only will encrupt/decrypt that ticket (it will add a flag on replies to tell what are encrypted and not)
Option 2- encrypt all Custom Fields (per custom filed)
About the key pass to encrypt/decrypt, its an excelent idea special for staff private notes
 

CORE-450 Custom fields with encryption option. This would be perfect for customers submitting server passwords or other sensitive information. Of course, this is planned for the official support manager.
Not all data needs to be or should be encrypted. Remember, encrypted data cannot be searched, and there is some overhead with decrypting it. Also AES does not use public/private key pairs like RSA, so the same key is used to encrypt and decrypt. This means that if an attacker got access to your database *and* your files, they could decrypt the data anyway.
In contrast, if you were using Blesta's batch processing for charging credit cards, the private RSA keys used to decrypt cards would be encrypted with AES using a passphrase that is not stored anywhere and has to be manually entered. This method could be done elsewhere, and might be a good idea for sensitive ticket information, but the data would not be decrypted automatically and staff would have to enter a passphrase unknown by Blesta before it could be decrypted.

that some thing i not recommend it if you have a huge ticket or data . but i think blesta should now add option to add some critical fields like server ip and fields for login/pass , that fields should be encrypted in database  .
or it should add option to edit replies , that way  staff can change sensitive data with asterisks ..

I Will promisse to add a migration functionality betwin Support Manager Original and Support Manager Pro, also an option to Migrate all data to Core Support Manager (It will delete all data on the Support Manager that will be migrated to because of the ID's and CODE in Tickets to not mess everithing)

Im tinking to add on next update the encryption of all Ticket's messages because of sensitive data in case of an MySQL/MariaDB intrusion, what do you think? The problem is going to be the search functionality that will be a tiny slow to let the encrypt/decrypt function to run.
