Jonathan got a reaction from PauloV in [Support Plugin] Email Loop Handling
Sure that's possible, but why should I have to do that every time a spam-bot decides to email our helpdesk and it has an auto-replier on it? That's obnoxious for folks of any size. Perhaps for you it works, but that's not feasible for me.

Jonathan got a reaction from Darin in Renewal Rate/term In Service Table On Client Profile
I'd like to see the renewal rate/term of a package listed on the client profile in the services table. This would make it very handy at a glance to tell which overdue invoices match a given service, etc. See screenshot.

Jonathan got a reaction from hpno in Admin "reset And Send" Client Password Reset
Alternatively it could just email the reset link to them. This would probably actually be preferred. Esentially just a trigger for the forgot password email/process from the admin side. This prevents the password from ever being in plain text except when the client enters it into blesta.

Jonathan got a reaction from Darin in Override Ticket "from" Name For Department
We can do it with the email address - would be great if we could also do it with the from name.

Jonathan got a reaction from serge in Delete Tickets
Kayako has a Trash Bin which is where when you click "delete" a ticket goes. From here within this folder there's an "empty trash" button. The ability to do these two things are controll be separate permissions assignable to staff/groups.
This would be a pretty cool implementation for Blesta. I've attached a couple of screenshots.

Jonathan reacted to Joseph H in Delete Tickets
1+ keeping spam tickets is just unnecessary resource consuming.
-
Jonathan reacted to hostingDifferent-Scott in Delete Tickets
It would not be a feature to regular support employees, but the admin, yes. The types of tickets I would delete would not be followed up by anyone because 99% of them would be from non-customers.

Jonathan got a reaction from Michael in Blesta Mobile App
This should be a very, very, very, very very very low priority. I'm so sick of companies like Kayako, WH..., etc making a mobile app and focusing on it more than actual development of the software behind it. What's better is simply ensuring a mobile-friendly responsive layout which it has anyway. Takes far less time and development resources away from things that really matter.

Jonathan got a reaction from domaingood in Generate Password
Scores for passwords in applications are generally derived by meeting certain criteria, most often times javascript is use to determine this "on the fly". For example: https://tech.dropbox.com/2012/04/zxcvbn-realistic-password-strength-estimation/
Sure it's somewhat arbitrary, but creating secure passwords really isn't hard so having an arbitrary meter to help guide people would be very useful.
-
Jonathan reacted to Paul in Generate Password
Password scores can be useful to end-users by simply making them think about their password selection. If they want to choose something we arbitrarily deem as "poor" security-wise, then at least they are making a conscience decision about it. It may nudge people into creating a better password, and save us the headache of a breached account.
In terms of arbitrary, the link Jonathan posted -- https://tech.dropbox.com/2012/04/zxcvbn-realistic-password-strength-estimation/ probably best fits with our understanding of secure passwords. Length is better than special characters, and passwords that are difficult for computers to guess but easy for people to remember.
Worth considering.

Jonathan reacted to a.daniello in Generate Password
A simple "visual note" about a selected password, is good and not invasive: user can choose arbitrarily if accept or not.
https://www.dropbox.com/register (based on https://tech.dropbox.com/2012/04/zxcvbn-realistic-password-strength-estimation/) is a great sample.

Surely someone else needs/wants this

Jonathan got a reaction from Joseph H in Search To Search In Contact Data
The search utility should be able to search in contacts data, especially email address. Presently there's no way to locate a client/contact by means of the contact's email address.
