  1. If they're inputting it on your site, you still need to insure that the data is being transported in a secure manner. I always prefer to just let the gateways deal with the compliance as much as I can. Accepting the CC details on your site you need to make sure that they are getting transported and handled appropriately even if you're just passing them through.
  2. Essentially, anything that requires users to type in their CC details on your site would require you to be PCI compliant. Anything that redirects to the gateway, then back to your site when complete, and doesn't have any data on your server or entered on your site - it would be the gateway's responsibility. So - when paypal goes YourSite > paypal checkout > yoursite, they are PCI compliant, in turn you're compliant. If stripe does that, and redirects to their servers, then you're good. If you're sending CC details to stripe, then the burden is on you. Hope that makes sense. That's my understanding of it.

I used to be a regular over on vpsboard, but it's really died out after it closed down and since the KH buyout, it just hasn't been very active. Hostingdiscussion never seems all that active, I'll have to give it another chance. Never heard of forumweb.hosting, I'll have to give them a look.

That's good, so I'm sure he's got some connections. I'd love to help out on that site once it's back up. WHT just has this stronghold, and they can do whatever they want without repercussions so the admins and people at penton simply don't care - they money from ads still comes..

Site looks like it's down All the current alternatives are down and/or so old and dead. I've been working on one but it's really difficult to jumpstart a forum.

Jeez, I tried to use some of the advice here and get an escalation to Dennis - bear and Andy flat out denied it. I admitted that I broke a rule but they wasted my time, were sarcastic and condescending in the ticket and got mad when I rightfully called them out. Over a year they had their minds made up on the ticket and kept cherry picking responses and doing things that wasted my time - they won't escalate because they don't want their boss to see it. WHT sucks. I wish there was a good alternative, maybe it's time to make one.
  7. Unfortunately, I really have to agree here. Just reading this thread, and some of the others around various forums have really made me start to question my gearing up to switch over to Blesta. I don't like paying for WHMCS especially after the price increases, but when you associate with people like Michael, it's really a big turnoff.
  8. I've been a user of multiple billing systems to date, and they have all had good things, and bad things. Blesta is my favorite system so far, however, as with every other system that I've used, I've noticed some areas for improvement. I would make these avaliable as a plugin myself, however, I do not have the knowledge at the moment to make this happen.. Improve the support system: support Rich Text (or html) in tickets, and implement a WYSIWYG Editor for commenting on tickets on both the client end and the admin side. Add the features of Support Manager Pro into the core of belsta; This would certainly attract more customers and seal the deal for them to use blesta. I unfortunately had a couple more things, but cannot think of them at the moment, the first bullet is the biggest thing that i'd like to see added. I'll try and update this if anyone mentions anything else, or if I think of any of those other features.
  9. I'm assuming I'm going to want to look at using routes, however, Im not sure how to set that up. What I'm looking to do is take the really long URL, for example: mydomain.net/client/plugin/support_manager/knowledgebase/ and change it into something a little "nicer", maybe "mydomain.net/client/knowledgebase/" What would be the best way to go about this? A route, a rewrite rule? Thanks
  10. I'm wondering if there has been any form of update on this? I just bought a Blesta License and I'd like to use FR, do I need to develop my own module? If so, that would be a pretty huge turnoff. Anyone have a module or plugin that I can use
