WHM** has been around since 2005, and has bad security. Oh and if you want to say it's a basic feature so is PHP5.5 which WHM** refuses to support and even ioncube says so themselves: https://twitter.com/ionCube/status/481555871735234560 So please don't say it's a basic feature just because one company has it.

Blesta is secure and growing features by demand. Which is why there's a feature request forum.

It's becoming more and more important that we get The Marketplace finished up. Being able to install and upgrade extensions directly from Blesta, as well as browsing all extensions from inside Blesta or the marketplace website will make things easy. It will also have rating and review options.

Unfortunately there is no feature to translate multiple at a time, or to accept contributions uploaded separately from the translator itself.

I would imagine that it would take about the same amount of time, or less, to go through each definition in the Translator as it would be to update text files manually. Manually, you would need to duplicate all language files, place them in their approprate directories, and make sure you don't create any syntax errors while updating any of the 100s of files, while also ensuring you haven't missed any. And when updates to Blesta come out, you'd need to merge the changes and add/update/remove some of the definitions. That sounds time consuming.

I think we have plans to use Google to translate the language definitions for all languages, and allow users to update them for accuracy through the Translator. That way, all languages would be 100% translated, and for example, your language would be at least 13% accurate.

I like your upload idea, though. Curious what others think.

    Hi,

Blesta only has been translated to my language for 13% so I am eager to help,
I translated other solutions so I thought it would be again using a code editor and downloading the language files straight on the server, zipping them and uploading them somewhere,
However there seems to be an entire blesta translation project going on; nice idea!

However, it's taking me several times as long as editing straight in the files because the page has to load after each sentence/word.

    My question:
    - If I translate the language files via my editor, can I somehow upload them into the translate project for others to improve?
    - Is it possible to get 20/30 sentences/words shown at the same time?

I really wanna help translate blesta but I find this way very time consuming and not very productive...

marcel reacted to velaware in [Free] Time Tracking For Freelancers Plugin
Its been a very, very long while since I added anything to this but here's a doozy of one.

If you use Git, and have access to GitLab (free to install and use), this plugin is definitely for you!

GitLab Time Tracking plugin is meant for freelancers to monitor the amount of work done on a project.  When a push w/ multiple commits is made, the plugin calculates how much time went between the first and last commit and stores that data.

That's not all, though!  It also will generate an invoice for you based on a pre-defined set of intervals (minutes, hours and days).  So, for example, if you charge $15 every 30 minutes of work, and you do 2 hours of work, it will generate an invoice of $60.  Invoices can either be active (default) or draft as well.

If you want to clear a project's data from the plugin, just click "Purge Data" and click "Yes" to the prompt.

While this only works with GitLab right now, it is possible to do this with GitHub and possibly others as well.  If there's interest this will be fitted to GitHub first and possibly others after.

The only thing we can address as a "odd" feature is that the quantity for the invoice is as specific as possible, but this is due to rounding issues causing different end money totals (i.e.: 10.1711 x $50/hr = $508.56 but 10.17 x $50/hr = $508.50).  This can be patched in but for now we are leaving it as is.  We want the community's feedback on this.

The time between beta's is usually about a week, but it can vary. For a minor release, ie 3.x there are usually 2-3 betas. We will be releasing 3.2.0-b3 next, and after that it will likely be final release. The point of the beta's is to eliminate bugs though, and that's our goal. Our focus will always be on quality rather than meeting a predefined timeline.. so, things can change.

Myself and Paul was talking about the demo and I ended up buying a cool domain, which now will allow users to see both 2.5 and 3.2 in action. I'll keep an eye on it and will update the 3.2.x to any beta's that come out so you can try them out if you don't have a license direct with Blesta.

Good points, electric. You've highlighted exactly why we've designed Blesta to be so modular and customizable.
Of course, I'm always surprised when people say Blesta is basic or simple, or otherwise lacking in features when compared to some other systems. It makes me smile, knowing we did a good job with not overwhelming the user. But it also means we may not be conveying all of the features of Blesta to users that are used to systems that have cut corners.
Take for example service terms. Most systems support one time, monthly, bimonthly, annually, and biannually. Blesta supports hundreds of thousands of possible terms!
Other systems supporting only email delivery of invoices. Blesta supports email, fax, and postal mail (yes, invoices that actually fit into double-windowed envelopes and can be printed through Blesta or mailed directly from Blesta)
Other systems have a basic API that was added as an after thought. Blesta's API automatically grows with every release, and with every plugin installed.
    Multi-company,... the list goes on.
While I can definitely see how someone used to another system might notice some things currently unavailable, the net result is Blesta is more featureful overall; and growing daily.
