    from my opinion in the blesta forum there are 2 groups ;
first Group , is satisfied with blesta and need more plugins like mass mailer and affiliate system and ...ect , the most of them not selling domains and hosting .
second group , is dreaming with the refacor of domain management and better implementation of order form of hosting , all them are a hosting proviers .
blesta team, maybe are divided with them , what is priority and wich can alive without what they request ?
blesta team is hearing more from who can sponsor the next feature , v3.5 was a lot of features in term of solusvm and configurable options , all this features was sponsored , and i see the v 4.0.0 has a new raod of EU law with sponsored features also .
my suggestion for blesta team , shouldn't always listen to sponsored features , because some task are from v3.0.0 and not yet implemented , and if blesta will add only features that are sponsored , because other has been payed for the licence in hope of blesta can correct add what he promise in thier tasks .
so i will vote for the domain management . is priority thatn any other task , even if EU law support .

The official Blesta License module for resellers is now available. It will be bundled with future Blesta releases, but you can download it here now.

To install, download and unzip. Upload the "blesta_license" directory to /components/modules/, then follow the directions in the documentation at http://docs.blesta.com/display/user/Blesta+License

If you don't have a reseller account, but have an owned license with us, you can sign up in the client area at https://account.blesta.com/client/login under the "Reseller" section. If you don't have an owned license and want to offer Blesta, email sales.

If you have any comments or suggestions for this module, let us know!

This module uses namespaces and requires PHP 5.4

Today I started developing our custom code for Blesta, because we're coming from WHMCS where we created much custom code for. Now, I see this "bad" (when I compare it to WHMCS) domain management, I can't continue to switch to Blesta because of this.

I hope a better domain management will being implemented in the near future. I don't think you'll need to do this per module, which will get very messy over time (all different way's of handling things).

My ideas for the domain management, which you may consider while implementing this:
    - Centralized WHOIS information over multiple registries, with ability to "override" this for a specific domain by the customer.
    - Centralized nameservers over multiple registries, with ability to "override" this for a specific domain by the customer.
    - Proper transfer handling (including a cron).
    - TLD syncing with automated price updates
    - WHOIS through the preferred registry for a TLD
    - Some TLD's have different requirements (e.g. a domain needs to be renewed x days before expiry).

    Thanks!

    Hello All ,

i will start in coding Quotes System plugin for the community , and i need some ideas feedbacks .

    1 - Why Quotes System ?

Quotes is something related to the productivite and add a plus for the admins , also all the big companies use it , also some companies that offer services (design, coding, mobile APP.... ) with hourly rate (like me) , and need every time send a qoute to the clients then the client accept we creat a invoice for them . i want to make this step as easy as possible .

2 - How much cost this new plugin ?

Is totally Free , but if you consider it worth , you can donate for it .

3 - Where expected to be released ?

first we need to make a simple Quotes system that do the trick , then we will extend it to do more functionality and task and maybe automated task , so the simple thing we begin with it the near future date is released .

    4 - what i have a TODO list ?

i have 2 TODO list , one if for the first release , and second is for next released versions .

i will group ideas based in the easy implementation and the basic feature.

    TODO list 1 :

    - Admins can add/edit/delete Quotes .(i'm not sure if i use close instead of delete)
    - Create Quote for the client .
    - Client can view Quote from the client panel .
    - Cleint can accept or reject the Quote .
    - Admins convert accepted Quote to invoice   not needed , as the system convert it auto .
    - client can view the quotes assigned to them (accepted or closed or rejected or expired)

    TODO list 2 :

    - cronjob to convert a accepted quote to invoice .
    - Clients can receive the quote via email as PDF , they can also download it as PDF. (implemented)
    - Comments both for client and staff under the qoute (threaded reply/conversation).
    - Devide Quote in two invoice after accept (for prepayment ,and after final work)
    - Create Quote for non clients , they can view it with a unique url .
    - Store Client info in the quotes for history .

    That is all .

any one has an idea to implement it , i will add it to my one of TODO list .

Go to DigitalOcean Account >> Settings >> Security >> Add SSH Key
    Then
Blesta Admin Area >> Packages >> Add/Edit Your Package >> choose that module >> choose the SSH Key you've added

this key is assigned to all of your newly created (using our module) clients servers, so you can login to SSH without the need to share their Keys with you.

This thread was created to discuss how the module works, code-wise. You may submit code to be merged into DSM with proper credits to you in a CREDITS file.
This module was based on SolusVM module from Blesta's devs. As such, there are lots of SolusVM functionality still in this script. I'm working on removing them and cleaning up the module. I'm still wrapping my head around the validation rules that're presenting a major stumbling block.
I'd be happy to have people submit code via Github and help with testing of the module via a development Blesta copy that they have.
GITHUB LINK: DSM, also known as Dedicated Server Module
THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR PRODUCTION USE YET
    What this module can do:
    1. Create a Dedicated/Colo Server Group
    2. Create servers for either group
    3. Edit servers for either group
    4. Delete servers for either group
    5. Assign servers to customers.
    What this module CANNOT do:
    1. OS Reloads
    2. IP Management for Dedicated/Colos
What needs work and may not work reliably 100%
    1. Adding client's package, either via log in as client by admin, or via admin backend.
    2. Editing client's package, either via log in as client by admin, or via admin backend.
What DOES work and works reliably 100%
    1. Installing module
    2. Uninstalling module
    3. Editing module details
    4. Adding Server as a ackage
    5. Editing Server as a package
    6. Adding Servers via the Manage section of the module
    7. Editing Servers via the Manage section of the module

    Comments and Thoughts on Module
I'm sure there will be questions about when this module will be ready for production use.
I do not know when the module will be ready for production use, but I'm doing my best to get it into production ready state. With that said...
I'm not a professional module developer. Thusly, if you spot issues and the like in the module, please either post about it here or open a Github issue and I will get right to work on fixing the issue or ask for help in fixing the issue.
Also, my response times will be somewhat slow for some time, until July at the latest, as I don't have reliable internet access right now. So keep that in mind!
Right now, I'm working on figuring out how the validation rules work. And for the love of god, I need to figure out how to safely remove the nodeid crap. It's making it difficult to reliably edit and add servers. I also have not yet figured out how to ensure the password is hashed and encrypted, as seen in screenshot #5 :U
Is it even a good idea to have it set that way? Maybe use an SSH key for Linux servers instead? I have no idea what the equivalent is for Windows Servers and stuff, so... suggestions on this would be great. Also, as far as the Type option for the servers go, I was thinking of moving it to the Add Server screen so that the admin can set it as Windows or Linux when adding the server to be assigned to a customer.
    Thoughts on that?

bunny reacted to Prime Media in Blesta: Over A Year And Still Lacking Features...
So I purchased a Blesta license before v3 was released. Was very excited and was ready to move my entire business over, but then found out that a lot of the features we use were missing that made me change my mind. So I thought I'll try again sometime in the future after Blesta matures a bit more.

The recent price increase by a competitor software was a push to reconsider Blesta again. But I am very disappointed at the progress! In recent times I've found our domain business is doing really well and now accounts for almost 40% of all sales. But the Blesta module for eNom has not been touched in years. I remember this being the main reason why we didn't switch. Fast forward a year +, and this is again the deal breaker for us.

The eNom module is very limited and lacks very basic domain registration and management features, not enough for a business that has a growing domains division that accounts for 40% of all sales.

Being a UK based company that manages a lot of .UK domains it still lacks more specific API field requirement options as well. It has already been raised and feature request submitted by another user over a year ago:
    http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1990-enom-couk-registrations/
    http://www.blesta.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2626-orguk-domains/
As you can see, no official reply posted and feature request has not been acknowledged.

In the meantime, a competitor is really improving their domain / eNom module because they have already identified that domains are becoming big especially with hundreds of new gTDLs already released and more in the pipeline.

Furthermore, they are adding NEW features. Features such as "Claim Your .UK" addon, domain name spinner, etc. etc. But Blesta development seems to have other plans and priorities lie elsewhere.

This post isn't meant to be a complaint but rather the main reason why we are not using Blesta. It's competitor seems to be one step ahead. I keep on reading on other forums how Blesta is the best software and has ALL the features now but really we shouldn't kid ourself, it still is lacking some basic stuff, especially domain registrar modules.

I'll come back again in a years time and see whats changed and if theres any new developments.

bunny reacted to phireuk in Custom Login Integration From Your Own Site. No. (Data-Toggle="modal")
Hello everyone.  This login integration builds on the work done by licenesecart.  See the guide below.

    https://licensecart.com/billing/plugin/support_manager/knowledgebase/view/31/external-login-form/1/

In my case, pure CSS was not enough to use the custom site integrated login.  The problem appears to be that the  data-toggle="modal" attribute will not work on my site due to the way it's already used in other modals.  The reason is not clear, (if anyone can shed light that would be great).  I simply could not submit a form from a modal window.

So my work around is to use javascript, to submit the form. I will start working on a spam catcher for the form later but for now here is my. ( data-toggle="modal") work around.   Starting from the top of the page.

Before you start, in order for it to work you need to do the following...Be extreamly care full here, as editing this page has risks if you make a mistake.  From licesecart's guide.

Next, on your site, somewhere you need to call the modal.   I used a stacked font awesome icon.

    Font Awesome  (modal link)
    <a href="#openModal" title="Customer Sign-in"> <span class="fa-stack fa-lg"> <i class="fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x"></i> <i class="fa fa-sign-in fa-stack-1x fa-inverse"></i> </span> </a> Non-fontawesome, basic (modal link)
<a href="#openModal" title="Customer Sign-in">Sign-in</a> Here is the main modal and the login form.   (I used a combination of the bootstrap core, the blesta bootstrap and this guide from JSFiddle. http://jsfiddle.net/kumarmuthaliar/GG9Sa/1/ )

Remember to use https:// if you have a certificate.
    <!--Start of Blesta Login Modal--> <div id="openModal" class="modalDialog">     <div>         <a href="#close" title="Close" class="close"><i class="fa fa-times"></i></a>             <form id="blestalogin" action="http://yourwebsite.comy/client/login/" method="POST">                 <fieldset>                     <div class="form-group">                         <label for="login_username">Username</label>                         <input type="text" name="username" value="" id="login_username" class="form-control" placeholder="Username" />                     </div>                     <div class="form-group">             <label for="login_password">Password</label>                         <input type="password" name="password" id="login_password" class="form-control" placeholder="Password" />             </div>                         </br>                         <button type="submit" class="btn btn-success btn-block" name="login" value="Login" id="linktoblesta" hidefocus="true"><i class="fa fa-sign-in fa-lg"></i> sign in</button>                 </fieldset>                     </br>                     <a href="http://yourwebsite.comy/client/login/reset/">Reset My Password</a>             </form>     </div> </div> <!--End of Blesta Login Modal--> The form is submitted with javascript at the bottom of your page is best, after the <body> tag.
<!--Blesta Login javascript--> <script> window.onload = function() { document.getElementById('linktoblesta').onclick = function() { document.getElementById('blestalogin').submit(); return false; }; }; </script> <!--End of Blesta Login script--> Finally, the style sheet uses the JSfiddle exampe, (i removed the white to black gradient) but the rest is standard.
Add this to your css file.  I used goolgle fonts, so remember to edit this to your needs.  and also declare google fonts link in your html header (99% will already have done this)
    .modalDialog { position: fixed; font-family: 'Roboto Slab', serif; font-weight: 450; top: 0; right: 0; bottom: 0; left: 0; background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.8); z-index: 99999; opacity:0; -webkit-transition: opacity 400ms ease-in; -moz-transition: opacity 400ms ease-in; transition: opacity 400ms ease-in; pointer-events: none; } .modalDialog:target { opacity:1; pointer-events: auto; } .modalDialog > div { width: 300px; position: relative; margin: 5% auto; padding: 5px 20px 13px 20px; border-radius: 10px; background: #fff; } .close { background: #606061; color: #FFFFFF; line-height: 25px; position: absolute; right: -12px; text-align: center; top: -10px; width: 24px; text-decoration: none; font-weight: bold; -webkit-border-radius: 12px; -moz-border-radius: 12px; border-radius: 12px; -moz-box-shadow: 1px 1px 3px #000; -webkit-box-shadow: 1px 1px 3px #000; box-shadow: 1px 1px 3px #000; } .close:hover { background: #00d9ff; } The finished form will look something like this.

Spam will be filtered by blesta. However there is no harm (as far as i can see) in adding an extra layer.  Basically i usually add an extra form field with a null or placeholder value in the form.  This field is hidden from humans with css, but spam bots tend to fill it out by default.  A PHP page then rejects logins where the hidden form has been filled out.  Simple and 90% effective in my experience.
