    Well, it works!!!

    So

"If you’d like to update the nameservers for this domain name, please open a support ticket."

Is it possible to create the DNS tab, plus e-mail notification of the change and add the DNS record in the database?
    It's just a tiny suggestion

Blesta needs more Modules/Plugins , automatically will be more "LOVERS". WHMCS is perfect, upgrade from one version to another also works perfectly. In business you can not afford to wait ,I use proven solutions. In my opinion, I made a mistake. Blesta stops the operation and development of the business. From the beginning, this is still beta for me. Sorry!

First Look to cPanel Extended v6.0
We are in the final stretch, only 4 days left until the end of the crowdfunding campaign, you can still make your contribution to support the development of this module and get your cPanel Extended license up to 50% cheaper than the final selling price. Or you can even get the unencoded version (without ionCube) exclusively from the crowdfunding campaign at FundRazr ________________________________________________________________________________________
    Crowdfunding Campaign

Due to the Blesta updates and the constant changes of the cPanel API, the module has been broken down over time.
I have received several messages here in the forum commenting on various problems they are having with the module.
In addition to this, several bugs and even security issues have been found, many of these directly inherited from the old cPanel Extended from ModulesGarden code that was released under the MIT license.
As a solution to all these problems, we consider that the best option is to completely rewrite from scratch the module using the latest cPanel SDK (Authentication by Tokens) and the latest development standards. (PHP 7 and PSR-2)
The process of rewriting a module as complex as cPanel Extended is a very time-consuming process, so it requires the development team to be full-time involved in its development to ensure a quality and safe product. This is one of the reasons why we are raising funds, in order to finance the time that will be spent on development.
Because cPanel Extended is a totally free, ad-free and open source module, it does not represent any monetary income for us, so it is complicated for us to schedule specific time to maintain the module, therefore we decided to make the next version, a paid module, in order to afford the time of development and maintenance and avoid abandoning the module.
Although cPanel Extended will now be a paid module, we will release a completely free "cPanel Extended Lite" version, with all the functions of cPanel Extended v5 (But without bugs :p), Also by supporting the financing of cPanel Extended, you will also be helping to the free version receive the same maintenance and development as the paid version.
What if we don't reach the goal? If we do not reach the campaign goal within 30 days, all the backers will receive a refund.
If you want to support the development of cPanel Extended, you can see more about our crowdfunding campaign here:

    cPanel Migrator Plugin
During the course of the campaign, several users have reported various problems with cPanel Extended v5, from simple bugs to problems that impede the correct running of the business.
We know how important it is to have a reliable tool and fully functional in a business, to avoid problems with the customers. Since cPanel Extended v5 no longer meets the security and reliability requirements to be used in a business, we have developed cPanel Migrator, a simple plugin for Blesta that allows you to migrate temporarily all the packages, services and servers from cPanel Extended v5 to cPanel core, until the new version of cPanel Extended is released.    The tool can be downloaded free of charge from the following link: https://github.com/CyanDarkInc/plugin-cpanel-migrator/archive/master.zip  ________________________________________________________________________________________
    cPanel Extended
cPanel Extended automates accounts provisioning and allows your clients to manage their web hosting accounts in the Blesta client area! The module eliminates the necessity of logging in to cPanel as it relocates many of its functionalities and advantages directly to your Blesta.
Your clients will no longer need to leave your website! Everything they need to manage their accounts, websites and services effectively will be found in one place - your client area. With cPanel Extended your customers will be able to manage their FTP accounts, domains, email accounts, databases, applications, SSL certificates and many more.
That is not everything! Our module will allow you to set up ready products in your Blesta and configure them in the same way as your cPanel Packages. This is a fantastic and convenient time saver! In addition, you will be able to easily adjust each product and decide which functionalities are available to your clients. Was only a matter of time. I don't even know how to revert to the stock Blesta Cpanel module, hopefully the process won't be too complicated. What I do know is that this is the last time I'm going through this nonsense, I now consider the marketplace to be a pipe dream. I won't be buying anymore third party addons for Blesta because this cycle will continue forever and I really just want things to stay working.

bunny reacted to franksidebottom in Best Method Or Workaround For Domain Management
I am seeking some general ideas or feedback here as I'm a bit stuck as to how to move forwards with my Blesta site development, which is intended mostly for Domain name registration.

I have a portfolio of Domains with a Logicbox provider and previously used a (heavily modified) 'competitors' billing system for Domain management, that is until security issues became more and more of an issue, and so I switched to Blesta and so far have not really yet looked back.  For the first time in a while, I feel like I am in control of my own billing system.  But here lies the problem.

Via my previous site, customers may manage their nameserver/DNS/forwarding/email settings/switch Privacy on/off themselves (although a multitude of paid mods were required to actually achieve this, which resulted in further issues), however as we all know in Blesta, other than updating WHOIS/basic nameserver settings there is not much else the customer can do personally without seeking support to facilitate their requests.

    So my options are really:

    1) Provide customers with say, an optional link to the Logicbox customer control panel to enable them to make any DNS/email changes etc (not particularly keen on sending clients 'off-site' so to speak)

    2) Offer basic settings only provided by the registrar modules in Blesta, and have the customer contact us to make any advanced changes, for example by way of raising a support ticket to set up email forwarding etc (not particularly keen on having customers jump through hoops to make, what is largely, basic settings changes).

    What would you do?

As I say, this isn't a criticism of Blesta, just looking for best workaround for Domain Management, for what is ultimately, on the whole, a superior billing system.

    Hello,

How it is right now, my OpenSRS module, the only major things that cant do is "DNS records managment" and "Email Redirect", everithing else is working.

I have added also a PLUS that any outher Domain Registrar in Blesta have, you can set Diferent Prices for Register/Transfer/Renew, and execute some commands

Id love to see the how they (Paul/Mike/Tyson) will implement the new Domain System, because if wee see the plans, we can antecipate and convert the modules to be able to acelerate things and add more functionality.

My OpenSRS InternetBS, and outher Registrar modules that I have developped for outher people here, have more functionality than the native ones like eNom, for exemple

Try my Module, if you find any problems or have any ideas, please share to try to help you

    Regards,
    PV

Mujahed graciously signed over the rights of the code to us. We will be going through it to ensure we don't have any concerns over the code base and committing it to Github as a free module. This will include the Tasty cPanel, Tasty Interworx, and DigitalOcean modules.

This will allow the community to also help maintain the modules and submit pull requests to us for new features, fixes, or improvements.

We may also bring in some of the advanced management functionality into our official modules, and we *may* completely take over and fully support and maintain the digital ocean module.

bunny reacted to Blesta Addons in Domain Management Refactor + Ideas
we have talked about this subject so many times  ago and we think is the time to talk about it now . i have made a plan to make something special for my need and provide it to the cmmunity , but i have stack with some limitation and some lock of professional advanced skill and lock of time . so what i have do , first i have decided to make the domain manager as a module , and add the registrar as a components inside the module .

the registrar wil have a :
    - json file to identify the name ,description, version ect ...
    - folder for API class
    - module.php (that file has the fields that will be used in the addrow in module + the rules validation )
    - manager.php (that file will have the available functions for this registrar )
    - package.php (that file will include the fields that will be shown in the package creation )
    - maybe we can add more files for other uses .

in the module manager , we add registrar as  a row (addrow) , in the add row , it list all the registrar exist in components folder as a list , when we select a registrar it load the returned fields in module.php .
in the package creation , when we select domain manager , it list the available registrar , when selecting the chosed registrar it can load the required fields by package.php (optional ) .

in the client/admin side , we will have a standard function like , name-server, contacts, dns, forwarding , emails ... ect ... the tabs has a relation with the actions available in the registrar or simply if not available show a message of unavailability .

    so the idea is simple

clients/admins tabs --- communicate with the module , the module forward the call to the registrar module . the registrar module return the response , the module show the response (success or errors) .

with this way we have a centralized domain management, and we can maintain 1 module rather than multiple modules .we can add the registrars as we want and we can improves them without touching the module it self .

the logic is nearly the same used in the gateways , we laod the gateway class inside the gateway model  .

I suggest mods have a rule that "coming soon" is not allowed. Only post about finished plugins/etc.
